Generally speaking, two. Three if I'm tired. Stay up if I can't afford to sleep (which happens regularly, sometimes two days in a row). Lots of stuff to do.

I'm not sure how I'm still alive. Got used to this, I suppose. The three weeks I had recently of only sleeping/eating every other day were pretty harsh, though.
your body is probably alot better at REM'ing instead of just lying there. (which i wish my body was better at it, i vary so damn much in my sleeping habits)
Very good point, thanks. That explains a lot. I'll just continue being massively unhealthy, then.

See? Never having to face long-term consequences does have its advantages!

Also, wow, I seem to be getting quoted a great deal in the last few days. Did I miraculously become kinda-sorta-interesting-ish while I wasn't looking?

Nah, probably coincidence. Seems more plausible.
from what i know of, its actually not unhealthy, if your still getting your REM (which is roughly 1.5-2 hours a night) then you are perfectly healthy. Most people however need that whole 7 hours of whatever for the body to be kicked into REM mode, and the other time sleeping is usually spent healing wounds/stuff.

so if you get majorly boned in a car accident or something, then yeah, your "unhealthy", otherwise it seems like your perfectly healthy in some cases.

(figured i should source it, its quite interesting really)
Thanks! Will read up on it when I have some time.

And... a car accident, you say? Funny you should mention that.

That's one form that my nigh-weekly life-threatening incidents can take. I kinda get severely injured rather often, must be karmic or something.

5-6, sadly. And I've been waking up in the middle of the night quite a bit since I quit drinking.

Between 6 and 8 hours a night. Pretty average, but you're supposed to get 8 hours consistently.

Of course, on weekends, it's anyone's guess. For instance, I just slept for 9 hours.

Weekdays I get like 4-6 (+ naps of various lengths)
Weekends I get 10-12

So if you wake me up while I'm sleeping on the weekend, I will probably cut you.

Usually about seven hours at night and like a three hour nap during the day. I love to sleep.
