"Nice hat. You look like someone from the Buena Vista Social Club. Which member of the rat pack are you? You look like one of those guys accused of killing JFK!"

You mean a fedora?
Lots of people wear them. They're stylish.

EDIT: I personally wear a black trilby. It goes deliciously with my trenchcoat, and does a fantastic job of covering my freakishly messy hair.
I'm tempted to get a Fedora as they seem to be coming back into usage these days, BUT I doubt I could pull off the minimum level of rakishness required to wear one without the fashion police beating you up.
Screw fashion. Style is the way to go.
If you think it looks good, wear it as much as you damn well please.

I'm not a hat guy. The closest I regularly come is my fencing mask which is kinda like a hat only it would look fairly silly outside of it's normal use.
You lie. Paint a smiley face on it, walk around and discover what it's like to be the toast of the party of life.

Please note: I give no guarantee that doing so will result in people liking you more.

I, personally, have no hat. I'd like a Japanese school hat though (as long as it would fit me, I have a big head.) and a top hat.

Why is wearing a hat considered to be 'like Yahtzee'? Is he the first person to ever wear a hat? ...or do we just need something tenuous to make it fit on The Escapist? If it's the latter, no need, that's what the off-topic forum is for.

Er, yes, I wear a hat. Usually a... I dunno, I guess it's what Maddox was talking about when he ranted about Fidel Castro hats. I'm currently wearing a beanie. It's for the purpose of keeping my hair out of my eyes. Which, at the current rate of thinning, won't be a problem for much longer anyway.

I seem to remember Charlie Brooker writing about hats, stating they're not even really clothes but a message, and the message is 'HAAAAT!', in the sense that most hats seem to be worn not for head warmth but just to go 'look at me, I have a haaaat!'.

Of course, that's no bad thing, and then there's the case of my friend who wears a baseball cap not because he likes them, but because he cant be bothered to sort his hair out some mornings.

I make an exception in my rule for him, as usually I feel that 'baseball caps are like pubic hair, you can remove it, but it wont change what was underneath.'

Damn, I'm just a big ol' mountain of negativity aint I?

but then I don't have a nice hat.

I actually sport a Bowler (or Derby) hat. I'm afraid I just can't pull off a Fedora, though I am in the market for a pork-pie hat.

I've been told that hats suit me, but I'm not sure. I find they make my head look really tall.

If I were brave enough to wear a hat, I'd probably go for something Fedora-ish, or Beret-ish.

I don't wear hats. I hate things that mess with my head.

I would like a British MK6 combat helmet though, even though it weighs over a kilogram.

Just to see if hats are popular these days. I don't have a pic, but mine sort of looks like the kind Yahtzee has, except that mine is all black.
Same here, no feather or any cool stripes...

I wear a hat. It's a blue baseball cap with the name of some dead company across the front. I wear it backwards because it helps my hair lay down in the morning without my needing to stick disgusting hair gel in it.

i occasionally wear a purple fedora.

I was wearing sunglasses and was in a dark room when i bought it, thought it was black. When I got outside and my friend told me it was purple, I thought even better. =)
