There are times when I love math, but I get frustrated with it when I fail to see a relevant application. Case in point was for Calc II, we had to memorize the names of a bunch of shapes formed by equations in polar coordinates (lemniscates, limacons, cardioids, etc.) WHY WHY WHY!?
