How many of you have played the Kingdom Hearts series and want a Kingdom Hearts 3?

I bought the first Kingdom Hearts as a Disney nerd excitedly thinking "WOOOO HOT SHIT DISNEY ACTION RPG WOOOO!" what I got was, well, melodramatic anime garbage.

I thought this, except the first one wasn't so bad for my money. It was melodramatic, sure, but so is Disney, so it was okay.

By the second one, though, with the illogical Organization XIII, the convolution of the Nobodies, and the downright stupid back half of the game where all you do is get the main Disney pairings together, and the whole Axel/Roxas and Sora/Riku bullshit, I half expected the name "xXDarknessXCloudGurlXx" to show up under the "Writing" credits. A fanfiction of a fanfiction in the worst ways. Sad, sad shit.

But that doesn't mean I don't want KH3. No. I DO want KH3 because I wanna see with what miracle they're gonna tie all the games together, AND write a good enough conclusion for a story THIS long. Surely not even Square is stupid enough to assume all of its potential customer base bought all the meandering handheld spinoffs.

i want KH3 more then anything, KH2 is my favorite game of all time and my interest in the series is higher then it has always been thanks so some wiki's and replaying the games, im planing on getting all the DS+3DS games on X-mas and i know i would buy a KH1+2 CoM(PS2) final mix remake without a second thought.
Edit: im actually happy that there finaly continuing with the story with kingdom hearts dream drop distance, the game is supposed to be like KH2.5 like CoM was kingdom hearts 1.5

Not to sound like an asshole but i've given up caring about Kingdom Hearts 3 for several reasons:

Reason one: While i loved the hell out of the first one the seceond one (and the prequals) have taken the story to a place i'm not too found of most commonly refered to as bat shit crazy town.

Reason two: I have no faith in SquareEnix. I don't want to go too deeply into this but I liked Square Soft up until they merged with Enix. Since then every game they've put out I've hated. So i've come to the conclusion that when the two companies merged the wrong people were replaced and now the company is crap.

Reason Three: on top of the story becomeing bat shit crazy, most of the entries are exlusive to a different system. to completly experince the kingdom hearts story you need to own a PS2, DS, PSP and if they do make a Kingdom hearts 3 you'll likely have to have a PS3

Reason Four: Kingdom Hearts 2 was awhile ago and i've gotten considerably older and my tastes as a gamer have changed a bit. I'm not sure i could even enjoy another Kingdom Hearts game if they made it.

So all and all i'm not really too worried about the fate of the Kingdom Hearts Series.

I do want another one to come out as long as they do add some new Disney worlds and don't reuse old ones too much. They could come up with more original ones and have old ones as side quests. One thing that has annoyed me about the series is missing out on bits of the plots as I have never gotten the spin offs. Although Square have seem to have gone down hill since their merge with Enix.

I love KH 1 and 2 but my only problem with them making a 3 is that I'd have to buy a PS3 and can I say DO NOT WANT!

I'm positive that I'm not alone in this notion I want Square and Disney to stop faffing about with these dumb handheld games and just carry on with the major storyline of the console games. I mean KH is a very respected series and has a very dedicated fanbase and it would sell extremely well. Also since I assume it would be on PS3 it could possibly move a few more consoles for Sony which would be a good thing. Anyways what do you guys think about this?

first of all you are not alone and i do realise that you have probablly come to terms with this already and your right stop making FF square enix we the fans the loyal dedicated fans determined to get a squel to the game that still holds a child like sense of magic while still having great gameplay.
on a side note: please realease it to Austarlia along with coded and all the KH games that have come before because all we have is 1 and 2

I just really want to see a 3rd one. I loved 1 and I liked 2 but these spin-offs are just turning the story into more and more of a convoluted mess.

If they do then I will crap my self and be in joy as the fan boy I am butttttt.............there is a problem... Kira is Retired. The series I beat NUMEROUS times will not be convincing if it comes out of said retirement. I still love the game but it is better if it stays finished.

Also does any one else get this set of chills because of how good the sound track is? I love the sad yet soothing remedy it posses.

Oh yes. I find that feeling most prominent with the tune that is played in an endless loop at the end of the second game, where it displays the stats of your playthrough beside a picture (the picture based on the difficulty level you played on).

Utter chills am I right?
