Nah, never been to one... but I sort of want to.
They look like good fun!!

It's good because I live close to London so I can go to the ones there...

Well, we have Supanova and I think the RvB guys came down last year, but that's it.
This.
It is rare for us to get an expo, and even then its generally hard to find out about them unless you know the expo [Live in Melbourne, maybe its different elsewhere]. Never been to an expo, though I'm planning to go someday. Doubt I'll ever get the opportunity though. Got a lot of other expenses to worry about first, let alone going overseas.

I have no desire to ever go to one. All the news presented at those expos can be found on the internet literally within minutes of it being revealed. The only special things they sell are limited editions and novelty items that aren't worth the money.

The only real reason to go is to have a good time with friends, meet new people and meet celebrities in person. I have no real friends, I don't really like meeting new people and I have no desire to ever shake a celebrities hand, or an authors hand or a director's hand or any hand for that matter. Expos and Cons and Events don't appeal to me. I'd rather stay home and read a good book.

I recently went to my very first con, it was the Anime Boston convention and it was beyond awesome. Everyone was cosplaying all around, crazy fun was had, the food rocked, the hotel was fancy and there was a huge ice machine right outside our room (I really like my beverages cold).

The bad thing is the post-con-depression you suffer since everything is so very fun at a con that return to normalcy is so very very dull and depressing by comparison. I didn't get hit as hard by it but the last day of the con where things started to wind down and the mall wasn't as overrun with con people and the fact that more and more "normal" people were in the mall we overtook for a weekend was indeed quite somber. It wasn't even the occasional remark such as "nerds man!" you overheard from the random passerby, those were legitimately funny. It was the realization that it was a dream and you're about to wake up.

It really is utopic if you're really into the subculture, I'm hooked for life! :D

London's MCM Expo is always awesome. I go to it every October, wish I could go to the May ones too, but they're so dang close to my exam dates.
They're definitely worth going to, but I daresay if it was more than an hours journey away I doubt I'd go.

Never been to one. I don't think there are any in Scotland and if there are they probably aren't worth the time it would take to travel.

Never been to an expo. Don't plan on it. If I wanted to see a cesspool filled with lower life forms I'd become a biologist.

I've only been to Supanova in Sydney which is fun but it's hardly gaming-specific. For me a big part of it is that I'm not aware of any other conventions (particularly worthwhile ones) and that I can't afford it.

Nothing is really stopping me from going to DragonCon rather than my own desire to not wanna deal with...trying to go to DragonCon lol

I'm not really a fan of the big cons to be honest. I like the smaller ones. I went to one last year called the Columbia Anime con. It had like 2 guests and about 6 stands of stuff for sale, but I loved it.

Yeah, there's pretty much nothing here in Texas that isn't anime related.I'd love to go to PAX or something eventually, just money that's the problem there.

Funny thing about PAX, it was near the same place and on the same weekend as anime Boston and we had this video-chat screen with a camera so people from one con could wave like idiots to people from the other one. It was quite fun. :D

If any cool expo's would decide that Europe in all it's perfection would be good enough to host an awesome expo. I'd surely go.

I already go to a few, but I'd love to see more EU based expo's

I've never been to any expos for two major reasons.
First, I live in Malta, a country where no expos happen and which is stuck in the middle of the Mediterranean, so getting to an expo abroad is difficult.
Secondly, it's too expensive for me to justify going. Again, due to the above reason, but the admission fee for most expos is too much for a couple of days of new games and related media.

Not a fan of Expo's so I see no reason to go, would love to see Doug Walker, James Rolfe, The Creatures and Ashens live but only if I could avoid their rabid fanbase. Also everyone I know in real life who goes to expo's are try hard Weeaboo's (although obviously that is not an indication of what the majority of people who go there are).
