At my old job, I used real vnc server to access my home pc, played old pc games on my office desktop, got way too into myspace (thankful that addiction has passed), flirted with the receptionist, etc etc...

I pride myself on being an ethical person however I do not believe that slacking off is an unethical thing to do since it lies within the expected standards of most white collar professions.

I'm supervisor at work and I often give double length breaks to those working 8 hours and half hours breaks to those working 4 hours where they should get none. I do the evening shift so all the bosses have gone home by 4pm and I'm in charge from then on. We usually get all the work that needs to be done finished by about 6pm then sit around until quitting time talking or texting.
I wanna work for you lol

If you can get away with it with no repercussions and no nagging conscience, is it really unethical?

And if so, do you really care?

How is doing all of that stuff a breach of ethics(not that any of these fall into that category) or morals(they don't fall here either)? Hitting on a co-worker is not immoral or unethical, unless you/they are married. Stealing from your boss is wrong, but stationary? Bah. I've never heard of anyone being fired for taking some paper or pens. They're just business expenses. Besides, if I'm doing work at home, do you think I'm going to use my won supplies?

For that matter, the only thing you've mentioned that is immoral is eating a co-workers' lunch. That's theft.

What is the actual point of this thread? If your examples are of what you consider "unethical", I'd honestly suggest that you lighten up a bit. Seems like you're taking life way too seriously.

At school, just about nobody is properly focused or paying too much attention. Even in the smart class we spend most of our time talking, picture battling, drawing, playing with pens, throwing paper. Good fun.

I work as a paper boy on weekends, and I have been known to do my route drunk.
