Out of all your online profiles and websites that you go on, how many of your online friends do you know/have met in real life? For example, how many of your Facebook friends have you met as opposed to a random invite or how many of your Xbox Live friends did you befriend through an intense Red Dead Redemption multiplayer session?
I for one can count four friends on facebook that I'd prefer to delete (and am in the process of doing that right now) and I have a few people I talk to on Xbox Live that I've never met without them being represented as a Spartan or a Wild West cowboy.

I know all but two Facebook friends IRL.

I know one friend on here IRL.

I know 3 PSN friends IRL.

I don't think I have any XBL friends, considering I don't have a Gold membership.

But I've never met someone online first, and then seen them IRL. Not yet anyway.

All of my facebook friends are real friends. A third of my xbox live friends are real friends.

I have never met any of my friends from this site. Most aren't ever here anymore.

I know two of my friends on here and have talked to the others via messaging at least once. I know almost all of my facebook friends personally.

I've met every single person on my Facebook, XBox Live, PS3, Wii, and Steam (Minus 1) friends list.

On the Escapist, none.

I've never knowingly met anyone who's a member of the Escapist; I would say that 2/3rds of my XBL friends I know in real life, and an overwhelming majority of my Facebook friends too.

I think I know about 30% of my internet friends in real life. And that percentage will rise very soon. I made it a goal to know at least 70%
I'm sort of hoping some of them wont be the persistent idiots I know them through text to be. And I hope some of them aren't as awesome to compete with

None whatsoever so far. I don't have Facebook so this is the first site I've joined besides Youtube that has "friends".[footnote]And everyone knows youtube friends are useless.[/footnote] My friend insisted that I join the Escapist but hasn't told me her username... Grr....

Of all the friends I've made online, I've never met any of them in real life. Most of them live far away and it would not be practical to meet in real life. Also, my online friends are fun to play games with online, but I don't really know them in real life.

er 99% of my facebook friends are people I know for realsies.

Otherwise the answer is exactly 1. I chatted to her a music forum of a singer we both liked when I was about 16. We met up in London about a year later and went shopping, lunch, went to an expo thing. About a year after that we went to a concert of the aforementioned singer together in Manchester. Havent chatted with her much since since I moved to Australia and we are not really in touch anymore apart from the occasional facebook message.

My only online friend now is someone from Finland who I hope I will meet someday, and its not implausible because I am passionate about travel so I'll likely end up over there one day.

A sizable group of my Facebook friends are transfers from Xbox I do not know in real life. Though I do plan on metting most of them when I travel.

Xbox I only have five I know out of eighty eight.

The Escapist zero.

I met a couple of the players from an online Star Trek RP that I used to do, and have also met a couple of the players from an online fallout RP. It was strange having suddenly different faces going with the characters. Majority of my 'online friends' though are people I already know that I do stuff online with...
