My media player doesn't tell me, and that's where I have all my music... but I have nearly 2,000 in my iTunes.

603 songs of nothing but metal (except for a few songs, like the Snake Eater theme, but that is just as awesome) and my collection is still growing. I also listen to majority of these songs.
800 songs. Mostly metal aswell. NO metalcore (Minus Trivium who are the only good 'metalcore' group as they are not trying to be metalcore). Prog rock is there as well.

But Death is there for sure.
Same, Trivium is the only metalcore group I have in my library seeing as their music is actually decent unlike other metalcore bands. My Prog Rock/Metal collection is growing, I have been listening to Dream Theater a lot lately.

Speaking of Death, I just found out Chuck Schuldiner made an album after The Sound of Perseverance for another band he formed (It still had all the members of Death) called Control Denied. The album was called The Fragile Art of Existence. If you have it, what's your opinion on it?
I've heard a few songs and they are very good. (When the Link Becomes Missing and the title tack are my favourites) Also next year his family and former bandmates are gonna release another Control Denied album (Titled When Man and Machine Collide) consisting of recordings that Schuldiner was writing while he had cancer. They have been having a legal struggle getting those apparently. (With the record companies)
Yeah I read about the legal struggles on Wikipedia, I'll search up those two songs on YouTube now.

660, but those are just that ones I actually listen. Counting stuff I stopped listening to ages ago, I imagine upwards of 1,500.

Which begs the question of "Who listens to 1,500+ songs?" and "How do you find the time to listen to 1,500+ songs?"

2400, and I can happily say that they're all albums that I actually listen to, instead of just wasting space while I listen to four or five different records.

On my computer, about 300-some. On my iPod, 314. Anything that isn't mutual between the two is something like the BlazBlue OST. I like game music, just not that much.

A lot, but probably not as much as a lot of people. Then again, my musical tastes range from Italian Rap to Classical music, so I'm not complaining.

Well, about 200 songs actually.

Generally no more than one song per artist however.

[small]*sighs* Music I like is so hard to find.[/small]
If you join Last FM, you can find 100's of artists that you might like..

I got 700 songs ,but also got lots more CD's to put on. :p
Well I am on last.fm actually <a href=http://www.last.fm/user/the1ultimate/library>(here).

Unfortunately it tends to judge you by the artists you like, and I don't really like artists so much as songs. So yeah.

Looking through the profiles of my "neighbors" seems promising, but it takes ages, and is mostly trawling through stuff I don't really like.

But out of all that i probably only listen to about 400 max. I just LOVE having the whole album for completeness sake.

In the neighborhood of 6000, across about 200 albums. Of those, I actually possess the disc for about 150 of the albums and the rest were digitally purchased. The only thing interesting about any of this is the vast bulk of the collection was purchased either during the period from November 2004 - January 2006, and October 2006 - October 2007, when I was deployed with the US Army. Amazon will, in fact, deliver to a war-zone and as such is the greatest store on the planet.
Thank you for your service.

On topic I only have 457 as of now, but the number goes up every week.

10 149. But I used to have over 12 000, had to delete some lately to fit borderlands. This comes from sharing collections with every metal head around lol. I know a guy, who knows three others, and they get some music off other people lol.

I have no idea, I have over 10 gigabytes of music and I can't be bothered to count them all. Is there an easy way to count them?

About 3000 or so, which is stupid because a) I don't listen to all of them by any measure and b) even if I did they wouldn't all fit on my Touch.

A better value would be that I have 680 on my Touch. I listen to *most* of these.
