11 or 12. I came in at the fifth console generation with PC games of the time, and eventually got my hands on a Nintendo DS and (later still) a Wii. Since I started playing games, I've sampled a whole lot of genres, and only one of them is still completely daunting to me: RTS.

I'm just not good at real time strategy.

Since I was 3, when I could barely talk.

My first console was a Nintendo 64 and I had finished my first game on my own, which was Super Mario 64. Boy those were fun times....I been gaming for about 14 years now.

My last game? LOL I have about 7-8 games that need to be finished. Just haven't had the time for them right now. I think the last one I finished was MGS2 : Sons of Liberty....I was playing through it again cause it's my fave! ^_^

About twenty-five years, give or take. I was always a few years behind whatever the modern system was until I started working, though. I started in '85 or '86 with an Atari 2600... so none of my first games could be finished, you always just shot for a high score.
When I got my NES, it came with Dragon Warrior... I think that was the first game I ever finished. I only played Super Mario Brothers occasionally at first, though I did wind up playing it to the finish before I got a Super NES.
The latest game I finished... as a first, anyway, was Fallout: New Vegas. I've replayed a number of classics all the way through since then, though.

I suppose nearly 30 years, I can't quite recall exactly which Christmas we ended up with a 2600, but it was pretty early one. However, I've always considered myself primarily a PC gamer, and thus I'd say it's been since 1985 when I was 8. The first game I finished was Ultima IV.

The last game I finished was Portal 2.

I've played for a little over 20 years, don't know the exact tally. Maybe towards 23 years.

The first game I remember finishing, might have been Wolfenstein 3D. "Finishing" games in the early-era of gaming was pretty rare, be it the Atari era with games that had no real endings in most cases, or the Nintendo days of brutal difficulty coupled with "One-Chance" to win, as you basically had to get through any game in one shot or reset. So yea, I played a ton of freaking games, but never really finished them.

The last game I remember finishing.. hrmm. Hard to say. Most of the games I get into lately have been really, really long games. So I just keep them on the back-burner and come back to them. So it's either Metro 2033, Mafia 2 or Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Those are 3 games I know that I totally finished.

I was gaming before most games even had endings. Your criteria's kinda whack, op. I remember getting through at least 10 minutes of Pac-Man, several stages of Joust, vector Asteroids, and a small handful of others when I was a kid.

The first game I'm told I ever played was Frogger when I was 1 and a half.
The first game I remember playing was Ghostbusters.
Both on the Commodore 64.

So as far as my parents tell me... I've been gaming for 23 years.
But as far as I rememeber 22.

As for the last game I've beaten... that's hard to say. Most of the games I play have no end... like Minecraft and Terraria for instance.

First game I ever played was probably early 2001? The first ones I remember were things like Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, Gran Turismo 3, Ico and Monsters inc.

Actually, those are about the only ones that I remember from my early PS2 days...

Since I was 4, i'm now 19 so that makes me a vet at 15 years.
First game I ever beat, Mario #1

Most recently beaten Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, and if that doesn't count, Mass Effect 2.... I think.... I've beaten lots lately I lose track easily.
