With friends, I'm as mature as them, if not a little less. We're crazy. But with other people, I'm as professional as an honest politician.

Wouldn't one saying they are mature indicate immaturity and hubris? Just saying...

I like to think I'm mature enough. I don't laugh at "poop" jokes anymore so, that's got to mean something, I suppose.

Let's see... My mom was diagnosed with RA when I was very young, so I had to take care of her - Bathe her, feed her, etc. My dad worked three jobs to try and keep his family afloat, so he was never home. My sister was a braindead idiot who couldn't figure out how to tie her shoe, and my brother was a spoiled rotten little baby. I took care of everything: Managing bills, making sure there was food in the house, doing the shopping, taking care of prescriptions, EVERYTHING. This all started when I was 12. I grew up fast because I actually had to GROW UP - not because I watched television.

There's your funny story.

I've regressed.

I was a very mature 7 year old, now I'm a crazy impulsive 27 year old.

Eh. I don't know. Maturity is hard to define in any meaningful sense.

Does the fact I still like to sleep with a stuffed toy make me immature?

How about wearing things that make more sense on an 8 year old?

Then again, I find it important to treat others with respect, consider the consequences of your actions...

Mmm. Don't know, don't care. ;p

'Maturity' is for people that just want an excuse to yell at others for them not doing what they're told. XD

I can act mature enough to pull off as an adult who knows what he is doing, or I can be as immature as a two-year old. All depends on the situation. I took care of my little bro when I was 4 so I needed maturity as well as immaturity. Had to make him laugh some how and yet keep my cool.

Very.

I don't believe maturity has anything to do with interests, it's about attitude. I don't lie, or pretend I'm something I'm not, and I'm not selfish or petty...I never expect to get my way and I can let the unimportant shit slide.

Go me...

I'm very mature in some aspects such as work and finance (how many 22yr old do you know that own a home) but I'm pretty immature with everything else. In WoW when healing 5mans I run around slapping people with a 15lb catfish and act dumb and I don't take anything in life too seriously.

My sister's 20 and has a home. It's rented, albeit, and she's still an idiot, but a home no less.

Pretty mature I think.

People tell me I'm an "old soul"

I take that as a compliment, personally ^-^

Still, I can be pretty immature at times. Like my humor can be rather childish.

And I'm very immature when it comes to relationships. Or maybe that's just being naive. Or just inexperienced.

Maturity is over rated. I wish I didn't think things through as much as I do, I feel like I'm missing out on my teen years.

Depends on what you mean by mature. I have a really absurd sense of humor, I do things that would be considered by some to be immature during school, in the hallways. But really, school is fucking boring, I don't see what's immature about making the day more interesting. I don't do anything harmful or destructive. Stuff like beatboxing down the hallways while doing some strange dance in between classes.

I think I'm pretty mature when it comes to emotions, people. I don't often get angry at people, even if they get angry at me. I'm pretty immature when it comes to personal discipline though. Procrastination FTW.

I certainly act like I'm older than I am, aside from the alcoholism; whether that's maturity or not is entirely debatable.

"Old soul"

I get the same thing. What do you mean immature in relationships?

I am quite mature. There are things I could do but I won't. I could have been drinking for a good 2+ years already but I haven't. I could have lost my virginity but I didn't. I could have stolen a wallet with $300 dollars inside but I didn't.

I decided that I didn't want to drink just because of peer pressure. I told my ex-girlfriend that I couldn't afford to be a father. I found out who the wallet belonged too and gave it to the woman who dropped it.

Yes, being mature may sound boring. But I find it satisfying. I rarely swear, I have a high threshold of tolerance and I try to act according to my values. This is how I live.

[sub][sub][sub]I go crazy with friends but I don't break my own rules. I'm happy this way.[/sub][/sub][/sub]

I'd like to think I'm mature about serious topics, but I am a kid at heart. But, I do have weakness some times like when something very emotional happens

Think close to "16 year old girl" immature. Okay, well maybe not that bad.

I'm highly emotional, clingy and worrisome....at least that's what my last 2 partners told me.

Not sure if I can trust them though. They hated me in the end...
