How Mature Are You?

I'm mature enough that others can take me seriously, even those who are older. I have moments of immaturity, but they're few and far between. Just the thought of it seems kinda foreign. I probably have the maturity of someone 5-10 years older than I.

But, that's just me guessing.

EDIT: These posts are boning! Spice them up with some examples! Tell some funny stories!
I did laugh at that so not very as I like to say I'll grow up when I'm dead. As for a funny story I'll give you a recent example mind you I am a college student so keep that in mind as you read it. So a week or so I was hanging out with my girlfriend and her friends in their dorm and they were all doing homework so nothing much was happening. I was bored out of my mind because I had finished all my homework previously and as I was sitting there I noticed a very odd shaped stapler. Then I proceeded to name "Shark Stapler" and went around the room saying "nom nom nom" and acting like the "Shark Stapler" was eating various things in the room.

So yeah my maturity level is practically non-existent.

I have no shame? Does that answer your question? I am mature when I need to be: at a job, when in class, around adults

but when I am alone, with my family or friends...I have no shame.

e.g. in my history class I had a one on one talk with my proff. about Tank Girl and her feminist symbolism and totally kept up with him for about an hour and a half.

Later that same day someone walked by and tripped, I stopped pointed, laughed, picked up their book handed it to them and walked off. The person was bleeding and it made it even funnier.

I can be mature when I want to be. I find it quite easy to talk to adults, and a lot of teachers and parents comment on my apparent 'maturity.' And yet sometimes I can act like a 10 year old boy. I can spend ages shouting the word 'penis' at random strangers with my friends, and I'm quite childish.

I can act immature but I'd say I'm a bit more mature then most my age. Things like world issues I can't seem to stop thinking about, and most people my age don't really care about these type of things.

I probably think I'm more mature than I actually am.

I'm only 16, man. As much as I'd love to be "unique" and "mature" for my age, I'm probably really not. In other words, I act my age.

EDIT: Ooo! I have a good example of my maturity. I keep telling my friend that she has a "weewee" cuz she has two Wiis. Herpderp.
That's not immature! That's hilarious!

OT: I try to act quite immature to keep the fun in life, but normally I'm the mature age of a person double my age.

Example of immaturity: I went to school on a space hopper.
It's high school.
It was awesome.

At first I am that fat kid that is the Perverted Hermit! Than once you get to know me, I am actually a very sweet guy who loves to cuddle, talk, listen, and basically anything that women in movies swoon for. However my luck has not been that good, and life isn't a movie, since the fat guy is always the one that is turned down. *Sarcasm, but true.*

Very. When people describe me one of the first words are mature. At school all my reports said the same thing that I was a very mature student. I have always been mature even from a young age.

Although like everyone I like be a little stupid and immature when the time permits it.

Pretty mature I think.

People tell me I'm an "old soul"

I take that as a compliment, personally ^-^

Still, I can be pretty immature at times. Like my humor can be rather childish.

And I'm very immature when it comes to relationships. Or maybe that's just being naive. Or just inexperienced.
I'll second that. My friends always see me as the boring, responsible one because I don't drink and/or party, etc. Which I'm totally cool with :)

In the relationships I've been in in the past, I've found myself to be pretty immature, but it's been more of a case of dating immature girls that brought me down to their level. I like to think I'm smart enough now to not make that mistake again ^_^

Live and learn, as they say.

I'm as mature as your face... I mean as your mom's face

no, I'm mature enough. I mean I don't think Jackass is funny and that's like 100 points right there

Unfortunately mature. I have a full time job, a car, I've been accepted into University for next year, and I've got my professional life planned out. I'm emotionally mature, not prone to over-reaction, and very emotionally stable. In video games, I enjoy games that have a decent story over games that are designed purely for catharsis.

"Maturity is a psychological term used to indicate how a person responds to the circumstances or environment in an appropriate and adaptive manner. This response is generally learned rather than instinctive, and is not determined by one's age. Maturity also encompasses being aware of the correct time and place to behave and knowing when to act appropriately, according to the situation."

Yes, I am willing to apply that to myself. Or maybe I am just introverted and timid to the point that acting out becomes an indesirable option, because I fear that it might inspire the antipathy of my superiors? Guess we'll never know.

I think that maturity is a very tricky thing to measure- behavior is not entirely indicative of maturity, because some people make a mature decision in accepting the fact that they need to express and embrace childlike behavior once in a while, to retain their sanity. For example, I occasionally find myself making horrific, uncontexualised coitus-related jokes with some very close peers. Why? Do I really find them so amusing? No, but I need to vent.

But then, some are just immature. No easy way to tell.

EDIT: I do pride myself on my "Uhm, guys? Maybe we shouldn't do this incredibly stupid thing you have planned, whaddya say?" sense, though I'm usually ignored. I find it helps to stand off to the side as they set the vodka bottle on fire, or whatever it is they want to do.

My maturity level rests somewhere between Mordecai of Regular Show and Inspector Finch of V for Vendetta, depending on the situation. Usually under most circumstaces, it hovers right around the same level as Dante's in Devil May Cry 3.

Which is to say: Nurgle Nurgle fizz fizz whiz bang whoopie cushion.

It depends on the situation. Most of the time, I tend to act immature just because it's more fun. When I have to be serious though, I tend to be rather more mature than most would expect. I naturally tend towards being responsible, level-headed and the like, but I usually just act like a goof because I enjoy it.

I'm mature in my intelligence, but I've still got a somewhat naive view of the world. Or not... I don't know, I'm complicated.

I will forever be in love with Star Wars and robots, I don't care what people say. But at the same time I love philosophical debates and pondering what I would do in extremely serious situations, and I've swayed many adults to my line of thinking.

I swear I'm bi-polar when it comes to maturity. Sometimes I'll have the maturity of that of an old English gentleman, and other times I'll be like a 17 year old.
