1) Estonia
2) Euro
3) 81.6876 USD (new console games. PC games are sort of normal, around 35 USD)
4) Approx 1,068.85 USD (taken from September 2010 values)

To say the least, I refuse to buy the games here. It's almost half as cheap to order them from the UK.

1.)US
2.)US Dollar
3.)30 to 60 depending if it is a big name title, something less known, or has come down in price quickly.
4.)Don't know.

It all doesn't matter though. If a person can't buy a game to play it, they can't buy to play it. Life sucks sometimes because you can't get to do all the things you want to do, that's life. Price and poverty are not valid reasons to pirate. Extra Credits gave the only valid reason, that the game doesn't exist for sale anywhere. Gaming is a privilege not a right.
I'm not debating piracy here (that's what that other thread is for!) I'm really just looking for information becuase it just came up over and over in that thread, and I think it wouldn't hurt for gamers in the big game markets (US, hint hint) to get a wider perspective of other countries when it comes to real-life costs for this hobby of ours.

Plus I like learning about other parts of the world. :D

NOTE: also adding this to the OP
I know you weren't trying to debate piracy. I just hadn't posted in that other thread yet, but my point still stands. Yes it is nice to find out what people in other countries have to pay, but it really has nothing to do with piracy because it isn't a reason to pirate.(At least that is the way you come off with wanting people to see the prices of games in other countries.)

Well, of course you don't have to answer anything. That would be rude on my part to demand information you don't want to part with. If you think it's a personal question, then ignore it! :D I was just looking for an average income figure, particularly in countries outside the U.S. (since that would be what I'm most ignorant about)
oh sorry by "personal" i meant my salary is more relevant to the issue. than the guy who live up my street that owns the cement company that supplies to surrounding towns, rising the average of income vs my low paying job.

1) Portugal
2) ?uro
3) 50-60?
4) No Clue

There's a reason I only buy games off Steam and rarely spend over 30? on them... they're damn expensive in Portugal due to excessive taxes applied to distributors.

Also, stores don't lower Game Prices... ever! Sims 3 is still sitting at the local GAME at 60?.

1. Poland
2. Polish Zlote
3. 55-70 USD (though PC games are about 35 USD)
4. 1278 USD (and after the taxes that are applied before you get that money, about 910 USD)

SEK (Swedish crowns)
about 100,54 USD ( 700 SEK) this is mostly for new exclusives.
Couldn´t find the average, only know my income is 150 USD per month (i´m a student)

so a new exclusives is like 2/3 of my monthly income.

Sorry, I honestly am not trying to come off that way (though I suppose it's inevitable given the fact that this started as an ancillary curiosity from the Piracy thread). I'm honestly curious about how much games cost in other countries, and how much of a monthly income said average game costs. I just don't know these things, and I felt ignorant when it came up 'over there'. ;)

1. Portugal

3. About 60 to 70 euros for a new console game.
4. Dont know.

Games are quite expensive here. Usually a new game costs 70 euros. The taxes for videogame entertainment are big here.

1) Canada
2) Canadian dollar (CAD)
3) Wii games are 50-60 depending where you buy them and who published the game, 60-70 for PS3/360 games for the same reasons. PSP/DS games are 30-50, they vary greatly. This is in CAD I don't feel like converting to USD as there is not too big of a difference.
4) Inconsistent, my hours vary greatly so I can't give you a proper estimate, but I make more than enough to get by and buy luxuries such as video games.

1) Sweden
2) SEK
3) 90 USD (based on price of Mass Effect 3 and TES V)
4) Roughly 3000 USD in general, though since I'm technically in a student area about 455.

Don't have a 360 so don't know if the prices are high or low for sure, but looks to be the going rate apart from limited/collectors editions.

Edit: I see a lot of Swedes who pay a bit more. For the record, my estimate is based on Webhallen.

I think you gravely misunderstood the EC video, OP.

Floyd mentions third world countries like Mongolia and Azerbaijan, (was it?) to give example of countries that DON'T get real Games AT ALL As in you literally cannot buy a authentic game from those countries In ANY way. And those are just a two of many, many, MANY countries. want more names? Brazil, Bangladesh, Most African Countries, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Antarctica, The moon (jk).etc.

In those areas you have exactly 4 options. 1)Wait for relatives to come from abroad and tell them to bring you games (enjoy playing TWO games a year btw) 2)Buy local Pirated games, 3)Download your own games if you have decent broadband (which is very rare in many of those countries)
and 4) Don't have anything at all to do with the video game culture at all in any way. Because you will never be able to legally buy a game no matter how much you may want!

So, your thread is not going to get any answers from people in said regions because they won't give up a chance to get the Neo badge, by admitting to piracy on the third question.

Average Income? Well I live in Woolloomooloo .. one section is have nots (Government Housing) ... one section is haves (income, but tied by education or menial workers) and well offs (Russell Crowe ... need I say more?).

But I guess the aggregate average (however impractical to measure it) would be 100k+?
