Pint of Strongbow for me, there's a really good pub about 30 meters from my house. It cost £2.90 for a pint there, though, bloody awful!
If I walked into town I'd save 60p and get some exersice (I'm not prepared to do the latter so will pay higher prices)

A Hermit's Cave
£2.50 (ish)

A single shot of Courvoisier... which is cack because I'd rather just buy an entire damned bottle and consume at my leisure... but I'm not that fussed because I've only ever bought about one quarter of the drinks I've consumed at the pub.

I hardly go to pubs/bars anymore, and I've never liked clubs. But I'll go to this place called Mollie's Pub sometimes with my husband,..because really it's the only place around worth going. Well, except The Bank. Which has the best name. "I'm going to the Bank." See what I did thar?

I usually get a Rum & Coke, that seems to be about 3 dollars unless it's Ladies Night, then it's half-price or free after a specified time. And then I'll get a pint of Guinness or Newcastle, and that price is pretty much the same as the Rum & Coke, and can still fall under the 'Ladies night' privileges. But I don't like the regulars that come sloshing in on Ladies Night, so I'll just go in on 'off-nights' and pay the regular prices.

Then we'll just head home.

Seeing how I am too young to drink, I will post my favorite milk shake.

Five damn Dollars (American)

Custom made Oreo milkshake, using real Oreo bits sold only to restaurants in a big bag, a real milkshake machine, and high quality vanilla ice cream.

Double Southern Comfort and Coke £2.50 before 11pm on Saturdays. 10 or so of them before 11, then switch to £2.70 lager. £2 for a Jagerbomb I think.

I get Brewdog for AU$5-10 at a Melbourne pub on a cheap Wednesday night. I usually drink Coopers and expect to pay around $8 a pint, Beers in Australia are expensive

Dead Nazi (doubleshot of peppermint schnapps/goldschlagger/jaegermeister mixed together) at the local gamer bar (AFK) for about 5-6 dollars depending on the day.

Favorite drink is neat JD, so I sort that out at home.

There's a few local pubs I duck into when I'm out and about; if only as I've grown to know the regulars and landlords over the years, and it's nice to catch up over a pint.

Everards pubs tend to be around £2.50 for guest ales, so I experiment, only other place I drink is at the 19th hole at my golf club, that's easily £3 a pint.

EDIT: Aside drinking spirits, only beer worth a damn when at home is Newcastle Brown; I grew up drinking Dog, it's refreshing to see several fellow escapists on the same wavelength.

just a couple bucks. I like a good ale; sierra nevada, sammy A's, any IPA or any ESB. I like a good stout, but Guinness has no flavor. Murphy's is a bit better, but stouts are much much better when they are made with american hops. The best beer i ever tasted was an imperial stout i made myself. I usually mash my own grains when i brew, but that batch was done with malt extract.

Are stouts big Stateside? Last time I was across the pond I was under 21, so had to hit up the Yakuza bars to drink, which unsurprisingly lack heavier beers.

they're pretty popular in the northeast where i live. Guinness is the big recognized name brand, but most of it gets used for car bombs or black and tans. sadly, most americans would rather swill their bud light, while barring one of the finest lagers in the world from import because its name is too close to "Budweiser."

Clearly I've been vacation in the wrong areas (having younger siblings obsessed with Disney will do that to you).

I always found Guiness a bit boring, even the proper Irish stuff in Dublin. Lager wise I've always prefered US domestic to UK domestic, so I'm really curious to see your take on the dark stuff.
