Ok before I start this has a Star Trek influence to it. I?ll wait for the one who are to cool for this to leave. Ok they gone let talk about them behind there back. No really here the deal

Now most of the time this kind stuff is joked about and then is forgotten. Yet for some reason this one stuck with me.

Me and my comrades where watching ST. When the Borg was brought up. They have a hive mind. Meaning there are no secrets and there never alone. Yet when a Borg die the mind or though pattern lives on. As long as one cube live all Borg live past and present. If you don?t believe that count how many times the Borg queen has returned.

Would it be worth it to live forever yet never again to be alone with your own though?

I myself don?t think so. To me that would be hell. I value solitude more then air. Given I never been with out air so take that with a grain of salt. I won?t say the idea of life ever after would not be tempting but in the end I think I take the quite of the crept to the noise of the hive mind.

Now that I've had my say I want others.

This reminds me of the hybrids from SS2.
There are tons of insane plots for immortality in games, from lichhood to deification.

To be honest immortality is not very appealing to me anyway. You get to watch all of your family and loved ones pass away and to be honest I think that you would eventually get sick of life completely.

In the end immortality and life would become a prison, and if you were never alone with your own thoughts that would just make it all the more worse.

Wouldn't that happen anyway?

But yes, I would love being an immortal, just not the hive mind kind.

Immortality, mankind's ultimate goal. Watching the world you loved slowly disintegrate as you slowly lose your mind from the repetitive dullness of your innumerable days. I'll pass.

Immortality, eternal youth...

Sounds pretty appealing. That way, I have a literal eternity to do all those stuff I would never have time to do.

True immortality would suck big time.

So no, don't want it, wouldn't pay for it, would kick the ass of anyone who sicked it on me.

I would accept immortality, assuming I could kill myself/go to sleep forever.
So you'd be immortal as long as you can die. That kinda defeats the purpose.
