I know all my aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the family - in total that's 24. I know some of my cousins' kids - eight or nine of them (there are a lot of them). I know all my nieces and nephews (I have five) - although I haven't seen two of them for four-five years. I have met a few of my second-cousins (EDIT: actually that might not be an accurate term. Children of my grandfather's siblings anyway) but I only know the name of one of them off the top of my head; he dated my uncle's ex-wife for a while. (Btw, all my grandparents are deceased.)
I do have a half-brother somewhere I've never met and know nothing about. My grandmother forced my mother to give him up for adoption - Irish Catholic morals being what they are/were - after which my mother went to live with her brother in Sweden, which is where she met my father. My other three siblings I know of course.
Oh and I'm Facebook-friends with an distant family member in the States; she been to visit my Swedish grandmother and recently visited my aunt.
