Either it's a holiday and I pump at least 12 hours a day = 84+ hours per week, or it's during school and I can pool 12+ hours only on weekends, with maybe 8 hours during weekdays? Depends on my school schedule and how much I skip, but it should be 64 hours a week.

To be honest, it's way too much. I'm neglecting school work and don't do anything else all day. I even delay eating when I find an awesome game to play, but I guess that's somewhat normal. It has most likely reached an obsessive level, the problem being that it has been this way for a long time, and lazy describes me quite well, with comfortable hitting the spot. My advice is to keep gaming to a limit, especially because you don't have the same "symptoms" as me, no need to get there. I guess 20-30 hours per week is a normal amount of time, leaving time for other things, but I'm not an expert on moderation. :)

Hello and Welcome to the Escapist!

For me it varies a lot, during the summer I played very little, maybe one game of League of Legends a day (if we look at the whole week) which is about 30-60 minutes.
This last week with a new WiiU and xmas holidays and no school... half a season of FIFA13, 5 hours of ZombiU and no idea how many hours of NintendoLand... + some LoL and a 15 hour warcraft III LAN, so it's still not up there with "I am playing a lot" but for me I am pretty much on the edge :p

Looking back on it, I was sort of more motivated to get out the door and get a job, go to college, and make my own rules because of it, so that was a good thing, right?
I don't know about that.
I played a lot mroe than half an hour a week, and I still was motivated to do those very same things.

OT:
It varies wildly.
Having kids and the likes restricts my gaming somewhat, but I'm usually able to squeese 5-15 hours out of the week.

I'm able to play a lot of Super Mario, Little Big Planet and Skylanders though.

Itd say its probably dropped down to about 10 hours a week lately. However I did recently purchase Dark Souls so that number has already increased

It depends.

When I have a steady job...no more then 20hrs a week, more like 5 to 10.

When I DON'T have a 'steady' job...40hrs a week, max.

Nowadays I find myself gaming less and less because I have so many other hobbies.
Manga, comics, movies, writing, books, etc.

Yeah it varies considerably, though it's almost never over 3 hours a day. I get massive headaches if I play games for too long.[footnote]It doesn't just happen from playing games, it seems to happen when I'm looking at one thing for an extended period of time, be it a book, a screen or anything else. Funnily enough, my 3DS of all things has yet to afflict me with headaches...[/footnote] So I'm going to say it would max out at 21 hours a week, though that's very rare.

I am employed full-time, but part of my compensation is lots of vacation following busy weeks. In general, between 10-30 hours depending on if its a nothing-but-work week or a 2-day work week with tons of vacation time.

Its seems without spending all my 'gaming time' on time sinks aka WoW LoL i find myself spending a larger amount of my time on the PC forum lurking kick-starter lurking ... etc i work 12 hr shifts but still would probably do a solid 2 hours of gaming atleast unless a ton of new anime comes out then considerably less.

Man i remember when i was a full time raider with raids starting at 10pm finishing around 3-4 then off to work at 6:30 i wonder how the hell i did it.

I hardly ever game on the weekend anymore between Girlfriend Jet skiing and mountain biking (weather permitting). Im usually to wrecked to focus on a game lol as apposed to working as a truck driver(hardly the most demanding job phyiscally or mentally).

atm playing;

Dungeon Keepers 2
Planetside 2
Deponia
War hammer 40k Retribution

Depends on how much overtime I clock at work, and also how close it is to payday. Post payday equals more time in the pub. I'm guessing we're going for the high numbers here, so I recon the most I'll get in a week is probably about 40-45 hours.

I'm not always playing a game. When I am (As is the case at the moment), I'll play it for a couple of hours any day where I get the chance to. When I finish it, I won't play games at all for a while. This generally works out to about 4-5 hours a week.

And also, I really only get the chance to play video games during holiday periods (like right now).

I have many other hobbies, so video games have to be balanced out with them.

I have way too much time to spend on games. can range from like 6 to 10/12 hours a day. Possibly reaching up to 16+ hours on Weekends.(This is extremely rare however since I only can recall 1 game where I played for 16hrs straight and that was Mass Effect 3)

Though this also really depends on how into a game I am. If I'm not so interested I can probably only manage 1-2 hours before getting bored.

I don't really have much of a life.

So I guess 30+ hours a week? Just a general guess tho.

With school and a part time job I still play probably 70 hours a week. Although that is mainly because I'm making LPing my second job and I have quotas to meet with that. Although it is also that much because I'm currently on winter break. When school starts up again it'll most likely drop down to 45 hours a week or so.

My parents used to put limits of 3 hours a day for me when I was younger, but I remember the first time I defied them and play for six hours in one day. Twas the first time I ever got bloodshot eyes. Now I play them so much that I actually don't get bloodshot eyes anymore which is great. ^.^

Average maybe 10-20 hrs counting the weekends. During the week it's generally only 1 or 2 hours a day.

It depend on my work hours and other things (like watching a show or going out to do shopping).
I think I get around 20-30 (maybe 40) hours of gaming in a week when I have around 25 hours of work. There a few times I did a week of 30 or more work hours meaning my gaming time were reduce. The least amount of work hours for me is 13 hours per week which mean I played alot more games with that work hours.

The only games I played in 2012 were Skyrim, Mass Effect 3 and Hotline Miami. In total I'd say I played games for about 50 hours or so last year. That averages some 58 minutes/week.
