How often do you impulse buy video games

When they're on sale, or I see a hidden gem in a bargain bin.
And that's only because I very rarely buy games, so there's always good titles out there that I don't have but would love to try out if I could get my hands on them for cheap.

I only ever impulse-buy old games that I don't have a working copy of any more. Like when I bough KotOR on Steam. And now I can play it on my netbook!

Always , last game to buy in impulse was. Argrest war : zero , i just saw it at game stop , i was like i want this game but i just bought catherine love is over edition so i was low on cash , so i didnt buy it .went to see a movie right after , the moral of the movie was life is too short , that did it , i went back to the store after the movie and bought the game , just so i would no regret not buying it. Damn movies and their morals .

Well... I had 70+ NES games growing up. 30-40 Genisis/(mastersystem?) games, and various SNES and so forth's growing up. Playstation, gameboy, N64. Computer stuff...

Games are often cheaply made--crap, in other words.

I buy about 2 major (new) games a year, but sometimes have to buy two copies as my GF also plays games. We do get some arcade titles, and some computer stuff... but yeah... I research a lot before I buy.

As it is, other than Star Wars Old republic, I have no "new games" in mind right nwo that my old games can't do. As far as old games go, there's a lot to get there, still.

A lot of people impulse buy, but with video games is it different? With a slight discount are you lured into purchasing a game you otherwise would of passed by?

I'm a sucker for this, and having recntly aquired Steam, that only makes it worse. For example, in the Summer Sale, I bought 3 games that I alreadly own for xbox, just because I thought: "Wow, thats a good deal". Basically all my purchases were games I'd never shown any interest in.

Yeah, this is me, minus buying games I already own.

I just bought section 8 the other day, and afterward I was like "WHY THE HELL DID I DO THAT?!?!".

The single player is crap so far. I'm hoping the multiplayer is better or I will be piiiissed.

So he plays it for a week or whatever gets bored and never plays it again.
