How Old Were You When You Created Your First Social Networking Profile

I'm 21, and I got a Xanga (not sure if anyone remembers that) back in late 2004, when i was 14, during my freshmen year in high school. I remember it being pretty cool, and there was some weird emo chick who added me, who i didn't know, and she kept asking to hang out with me over the internet

When I was in 9th grade (I think it was 2002) I made my first Myspace account. I think I had three of those...I definitely had 3 Facebook accounts. I've also had 2 Vampire Freaks and one Dark Starlings.

At the moment I only use Facebook and I'm only there to keep in touch with family and a couple of high school friends.

I think I was 19, I rolled into Freshman year of college and everyone was like zomg you don't have facebook?!
And I promptly deleted it 2 weeks later when I was annoyed by it.

I think a Myspace when I was like 14, but I didn't touch it after that. Then when I was 17 I made a facebook since everyone I knew seemed to have one.

My first year of college 3 years ago. It was with Facebook. I've put very little time into it but I get sent notices about events that people post on Facebook. The only reason I have the account anymore is because for some reason people post news on Facebook exclusively... that just seems dumb.

I was about 15 or 16. I created a MySpace account. Don't have it anymore. Only a Facebook now.

I'm thirty-five. I have still never made a social networking profile. I might if I get a Google+ invite, though.
My friends have been pestering me to join Farcebook for a couple of years and I still keep refusing. I like to tell them that if they want to get in touch with me, I do have a "grown-up's email address" they can write to.

You could very well be right about that...I remember my first myspace being in early High School...it was more likely 2003 or 2004 though...I remember someone who was a year younger than me having a much better Myspace than I had...My memory from that time is really fuck-wording bad anyway.

I guess vampirefreaks 2000 i was like 11 unless you count neopets as a social site then 99 was my first social site account.

Holy shit...Xanga. I forgot I had one of those. It was basically a music blog for all the shitty music I liked when I was 16. But I quit with it after a year or so. Then I had a Facebook profile starting my first year of college (2005. It was only for college students back then, and it was better for it). I liked Facebook less and less as it expanded (I was utterly confused the first time 15 year old girls from back home started sending me friend requests). I finally left it last year. The only social network profile I have now is my LinkedIn one, which I haven't checked in months.

I made my MySpace account in seventh grade, which was in 2007-2008 (man, I'm young). Facebook, probably the end of eighth grade, or the beginning of Freshman year.
