12, MySpace. 18 now. And, looking back, logging back in, viewing my page again for the first time in over 3 years, all I can say is, "holy shit I was a ******."

It's a little embarrassing, but I've since realized literally everyone can say the same thing. Seriously, you're 12-14 year old self would embarrass you, too, just look at anything you made from back then, you'll see.

I just use Facebook now.

Was 17, got a Bebo.
I was wondering when someone would mention this. I made a Bebo account when I was like 14, so back in 2005. So cool, I think that place has all of 2 users now.

Yeah... I think a lot of people are inadvertantly incorrectly answering this. Social networking has been around basically as long as the internet . Most people had things like Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, accounts that tied Email in with instant messaging and other things such as bulletin boards. Just because new conventions crafted a new name for it, doesnt mean it wasnt around long before that name popularized. It simply existed in a different form is all.

With that said, I had a yahoo and a bolt account in 1999 when I first started accessing the internet and I was in my early 20s at the time.

Four years ago before I moved to London to study I had to make a myspace account because my girlfriend and most of my friends from bands kept pestering me to do :p I didnt use it much, since it seemed mostly like a social platform for indie musicians but it did ease the transition to facebook. Which I was quilted into doing by my new UK friends :D
It?s the circle of nagging that keeps social networking alive and well :p
