How original is your username and have you ever run across someone else who is using it?

I've never seen anyone else with my same username, the closest I've come to that is a few other users with Arnold Rimmer avatars (Even some who complimented my own).

(And my steam one >.< it only had lost planet, but still...)
Thinking of making a new one "The Archivist" Though, Havn't seen anyone use it, and you can only hear so many "rune-DEATH"'s before it becomes a dead horse. (its rune-dead-th-a)

I chose mine beacause i wanted something that nobody else would think of. And i use it with everything it certainly is my online name. So if you see kazork on a site or in a game it wil certainly be me.

EDIT: just to check i googled kazork and you get some kind of real estate agancy. So my name is not so original as i thought.

I must have used this username in a half-dozen other places and I've never had to tack some damned numbers on to it.

There weren't that many "Cyclops" in the clan I was years ago.
And since the clan doesn't exist anymore(still around, but not as a gaming-clan), I guess it is quite uniqe.
I haven't encountered any other "B2kCyclops", yet.

...exept the ones created by mad ex-girlfriends. -_-

Haven't seen it, but I'm pretty sure it's out there, seeing as it's from a very popular series.
What series are you referring to? I wonder because in Swedish "Sköldpadda" means seaturtle.
The Dark Tower, by Stephen King.
It's a small scrimshaw turtle which fascinates people, freezing them to the spot, and making them susceptible to suggestion. It makes its appearance in Song of Susannah, and the first character to be fascinated by it, is a Swede ("Your sköldpadda makes me very happy"). The name sticks until the object disappears from the story in the next book.

I thought it was a very funny word, and when I decided on a new username, I had the book in front of me, so.

Mine's not orginal at all and yet I've never seen anyone else use it. 'Magnificent Fiend' is an ok album by a band called Howlin Rain and I just liked the phrase.

My name is somewhat generic on here so imagine it is used all over the internet. The same goes for my Xbox Live account.

I don't really have a single online identity purely because most places don't allow for a name change and so when I first started making online accounts I'd choose a rubbish name, not able to change it I'd then have to keep it. Then, as it is crap I'd get a better one next time and then find out that on X or Y site/game/whatever it was taken and so my names always end up different.

If I could change the user names for all my accounts then I'd probably try and come up with something unique, but seeing as Steam can't be and Live costs money I shall stick with what I have.
Heh, I used to use Legion a loooooooong time ago, back in the beginning of mIRC. I only dropped it recently because of Mass Effect 2. I was joining the site around that time and didn't want to be confused with someone who had actually played the game.

As for my new name (my second one ever), I haven't Googled it or anything, but I'm willing to bet it's unique. Also, it perfectly reflects my taste in game genres. ^_^

Mine is pretty damned original. Also a little hard to pronounce for some reason. Most people online just refer to me as 'Gad' when I'm playing online.

The only times I've encountered my name already in use, is when I try to sign up for a sight that I had signed up for years previous, but had forgotten that I had done so.

I thought my name was super original, until I discovered there's an iamded.com, and also websites like Facebook have iamded taken (as well as i-am-ded, i.am.ded etc..)
So, you know. It works most of the time, but there's always the occasional other iamded out there...

Well, considering this is something I came across by accident due to a broken keyboard and a random word I typed on it, I doubt it.

I Google'd it and got 7 pages of me, and that's only cause I got tired of looking.
