I'm inclined to agree. Although it can be funny when people embarrass themselves in that desperate bid for those coveted likes.Silentpony said:Facebook is creepy. All social media is creepy. We'd all be better off without it.
All social media is creepy because it involves people, and people are creepy. That's the base problem.Silentpony said:Facebook is creepy. All social media is creepy. We'd all be better off without it.

I think the base problem is the...hidden nature of it all. People aren't inherently creepy. You also have no idea what those people who look at you in the market or that other car on the road are thinking. Of course, they can't do anything right there, because the number-one thing keeping people in line in public life is fear of getting punched in the face for being creepy.Silentpony said:I think the base problem is the...hidden nature of it all. But the idea I have no idea who is looking at my pictures online and what they're doing with those pictures. Creepy.
Yeah, but they're not taking pictures of me at the market. They're not looking through photo albums of me at the market. They're not stalking me, going back years, at the market. The Rogue Wolf said:You also have no idea what those people who look at you in the market or that other car on the road are thinking. But when they get home....
