Lets say, that something bad happened to you. Something that affected you very deeply, and the world just kept on moving. Your life was in tatters, but the world and its populace didn't care, you snap and realize that they never did...

What would have to happen to you for you to go all "Tragic Super Villain" on the rest of the world?

The Final Fantasy 7 fanbase being wiped off the face of the earth. Then what I would I use as a verbal punching bag?![/troll]

In all seriousness, everything I truly care for would have to be destroyed, including people, before I turned TRAGIC super villain. (To turn just regular super villain, all I'd need is access to super technology and a great human recourses department.)

I'd create a grand scheme so complex, so unnesscary, it would make the Joker look like a conservative.

It happened. My brother died, I left home, I moved across country and eventually found I could keep no friends because I was bipolar, and my mood swings drove them away.

Time to get a weapon and some training; there's evil to be opposed!

Ehh, I figured that out as a small child, what with the unmerciful harassment I received from other children. Instead of turning on the world I simply came up with this conclusion "Fuck em and the little dog too." Of course that doesn't mean given the means with which to conduct a james bond villain style take over of the world I wouldn't do it.

I want say I would do good and only help people, but that creeping feeling of entitlement for helping out would take over a bit at some point. I am sure I would then rob a bank or two. After that it's a slippery slope. Even knowing all this I don't think I could resist forever. There would always be one more thing I think I should have.

Already happened. I was charged for a hate crime, cleared of the charges and became an outcast in my school. I've been treated like shit because of that event, 5 years ago now, and everyone knows the true story yet refuse to accept me. So I'd probably snap on the world pretty fast, but keep my family, friends and true love (corny eh?) safe from my wrath.

Well if there was someone who found out my identity and killed someone i loved i would go to any lengths for revenge, then after having my revenge it would more or less destroy my moral compass turning me into the tragic villain.

Not the most original way but it is what it is.

Same here...

I'm already quite aware that "Society" doesn't give a damn about any of us, I learned that at a young age...

I'm already at the tragic super villain stage I'm just to lazy to do anything about it .

If i wasn't watch out world ,an army of heavily armored Ninja sloths would be slowly assimilating into the daily world preparing to strike on my orders.

its more of a five year plan .. maybe 10 years .. depends on the sloths motivational level really

You know, wouldn't it be easier if we all pooled our resources. Sure we wouldn't be much closer but actually finding like minded people is a good step.

I wouldn't turn against the world... openly. I'm more of the behind-the-scenes sort of person. The guy who topples governments without anyone knowing. Hell I might be organising a coup in your country right now...

OT: If something happened to my family and I didn't feel justice was done, I wouldn't shed a tear at bringing civilization to it's knees given the opportunity. It wouldn't take much.

I've been through the wringer on more than one occasion in my life, and each bad thing tends to make me try to become more positive.

I guess I'm like Batman in that sense. I end up being more good after awful things.

My family getting killed... My nephews father getting custody over my nephew... Video games being banned.

I'd be a better villain than The Joker.
