..Well, honestly I think a lot of people don't like me. I guess it's because I somehow get on people's nerves even when I don't try to. Sure, maybe a lot know me but usually I don't receive the best of comments. However, it helps me at least develop a stronger character (cheesy I know).
Really?! Well never mind them, I like you! *hugs*

OT: Here? I honestly don't know. I know I come off like a jackass some of the time, so that doesn't really earn me any points, but when I get quoted in /Adv, I like to think that makes up for it.

IRL, I am. You ask my old boss to say something bad about me, he won't be able to (same with pretty much everyone I've ever worked with... I hope).

Seriously though, I've had post-traumatic reactions to that word since my mother's boyfriend lectured me about "respect" almost daily when I was young, while threatening to beat the shit out of me.
I sincerely hope that's how he spelt it, that way I can legitimately vilify him without even knowing him.

I've only seen it demanded by people who don't deserve it.
... never a truer word uttered thus far.

On the Escapist: I doubt anyone knows who I am so I doubt I have any respect here.

In real life: I have many, many fans who I'm sure respect me greatly.

I'm a tailor with clients in LA and Chicago
I've designed for Nike
I'm a Mason.

So yes, I'm generally very well respected in my personal life.

As for the Escapist? Hell if I know

In class people tend to view me as one of the people who has his things in order.

On the escapist I'm not so sure.

Respected? Well, I have been invited to a couple of groups. I like to think my posts and avatar make me stand out a teeny little bit.

But respected? No.

i really dont give a crap about 'respect', I'm not on the school playground anymore where status actually mattered to me.
I'm not a very sociable fellow either way.

Sorry, the first bit was a joke reference to Ali G. My mother's boyfriend never felt the need to spell it. He only said that if I didn't start showing some he would make me taste the back of his hand, and "break [my] stupid fucking head against the wall." You know, just like I deserved when I was ten and I interrupted his television programs by playing the piano too loud.

I had an exam for god's sake. The notes said crescendo....

eh. 80% of what i do is just some quick and silly comment, 10% is me whining, and the final 10% is me talking like a rational human being. i doubt i've left much of an impression.

still, i'm not in the escapist for the purpose of being recognized.

@All: ... ... Well, my mind is blown. Literally felt I had much to redeem of myself (well, it's the internet but this place is special to me regardless) but here I have you guys. Thanks so much, without a doubt I am very fortunate to witness those words myself tonight.

@FrostyChick: You of all Users say that? Wow... I thought I have seen everything but to hear that is a major ego boost ^_^ haha pardon me as I go get myself something to drink in cheer.
Credit where it's due and all. I'm not in the habit of giving out praise where it isn't rightly earned. Sure there might be a few people that get a touch shitty with you, but this is the internet. That happens, people like that don't matter.
And I'm not that bad really. I'm nowhere near as bad a person as I make myself out to be at times. ^^;
I just have little patience for fools. >.>

Forums? Nah, course not. I don't believe I post often enough or have enough of an eyecatching avatar to be recognised.

Real life? People say i'm quite intimidating almost daily now, which i don't think is a good thing nor am i really trying to be intimidating. I don't like getting fucked with either and people usually don't, so i'm respected enough that i'm not usually messed around.

In real life I get a fair amount of respect. Mainly in my university but also professionally... A couple of years ago I was highly respected in my university I was student body vice president (I don't know how things are out there but here it's a big deal) and was setup to be president which meant I had a lot of meetings around the country to discuss early budgets (to scale things for you there is one party who's budget is a couple of million euros) and policies and whatnot. I even had a meeting with the president which was kinda cool. I also had a high ranking position in another student group but that's tough to explain as it's a Portuguese thing.

Anyway... A year ago my mom got sick so I put everything on standby to help her during her last days so my recognition dropped... Although when I got back to school I was very impressed to see I was still respected a lot... And that's kinda cool 'cause I was always the quiet, shy and very awkward kid and if I told my 14 year old me how cool my life was gonna turn out I'd never believe it...

Do you command a high level of respect?
Or perhaps you're ignored and dismissed out of hand.

personally, i think that some people like me, but don't respect me, as it has been made clear with people finding a roblrm with anything i say.
Although i think a lot of that comes from my irrational behaviour.
What about you?
Eh, wouldn't call myself very respected at all but i don't think i'm completely shunned or ignored either despite my insanity. Hell, i know i have my moments of wisdom but still i'd call myself more tolerated and somewhat liked then respected.

Off topic: Where is your avatar from?

I don't know, and I don't particularly care. However, judging from some of the posts I've made that people have reported in what I would regard as a 'questionable' action I'd have to say I'm probably disliked. Awesomeness.

For me its either:

People love me, because I do silly shit that makes them laugh.
People hate me, because I do silly shit that makes them angry.

Im like marmite, you either hate or love marmite.

I hate it personally.

On this website, little due to being pretty low key. In terms of self-respect, absolute none. At home with my family, a fair bit. At college, not a lot. But at my old school?

I was pretty quiet and I commanded a bit of respect through fear; one time two of my classmates were in a brawl right next to me and I was pretending not to notice. When I finally got sick of it, I turned and looked at them and just told them to pack it in, with such volume and anger that everybody backed off, fight stopped and I got some stunned looks while I went back to watching TV. One of my friends said "I thought it was a teacher". Anyway, I'm pretty sure I had some respect

IRL? The way I see it people regard me as a harmless fool, I seem to be able to say/do exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time but people seem to just find it funny in "there there" type of way.

On here? God knows, I keep a kinda low profile but do have a tendency towards ranting at stuff I dont agree with.
