I think I'm generally liked a lot but not really respected, as I'm a bit of a walkover IRL.
However, online I seem to do a lot better, and is it bad to feel really good when you have '1 new message', click thru and you've been quoted and it just says 'THIS!' or 'said all I was going to say, just better' or something equally complimentary?
It's especially nice to see when you consider it's so much easier to call someone a dick than compliment them, and also, as my username shows, I possibly skirt the edges of offence to get my point across at times, and don't always adhere to the most popular views either.
Also a bit sad, but I'm a guild leader in WOW, and almost every time I log on, there's a flurry of greets and messages that I'm pretty sure most people don't get, makes it feel like I'm doing something right there.
Sure it's small stuff, and both here and WOW are irrelevant in the real world, but screw it, it makes me feel better.
