How should Shepard explore space in Mass Effect 3?

We've seen that planet scanning is boring as crap and roving about in a tank up 89 degree angles is very tedious. Now we must look to the future. How will Shepard explore the final frontier in Mass Effect 3? Will (s)he be driving in a shiny new vehicle that can actually steer? Or perhaps (s)he will be flying around in a jet pack as Yahtzee suggested?

Personally I could see the vehicles making a glorious return with the ability to upgrade them as well. I really did miss the good old battle between the Mako and the Geth anti-tank division, who I believe downloaded their tactics from the Stormtrooper demolition corps (I.E. stand and shoot explosives with no accuracy).

I thought the tank thing almost worked. Just tighten up the steering and boost the speed and you'd have something reminiscent of the old Monster Truck Madness racing games. Oh, and put you against other, half decent vehicles (instead of those shitty walkers and useless grunts). There also needed to be a tad more scenery. Just water/shrubbery/rocks/forest would have livened it up no end.

Lunar Lander Minigame. Been ages since I played that classic and it's about due for a game-within-a-game remake. I especially liked it when gravity was all wonky and even keeping the thrusters on for a split second would send you rocketting off screen!

Fun little game.

I think it should be an easy little mini-game, like the hacking thing. It might seem a little easy, but you'd still have to take your ship to each individual planet and do it. Plus if they keep the probes in, you can't just do it all at once or you'd run out of money.

Just ninja'd some people.

Maybe (s)he could steal one of those collector platform thingies and modify it. They seem fast enough and because of their ability to levitate, it would probably manage to avoid retarded rock climbing.

He should explore space with a freaking army. Seriously, if the universe still doesn't give a shit about its imminent destruction in Mass Effect 3, my Paragon Shepard is going to rage on some fools.

I hope we get to use our new tank in the core story for ME3, but in all honesty I'd like to see resource gathering turned into a passive system. Perhaps you could keep the probing, with the option to let one of your crew members just probe away while you're taking care of the other side of saving the universe.

Well the tank thing really didn't work out and probing didn't either so... maybe use that car/hovercraft vehicle that we saw in cut scenes. Hovering takes out the climb and it would be more interesting than mining. Maybe throw in some lasers and explosions and you have yourself a party.

The tank had potential, just fix the physics and increase landscape detail.

Ever play star control 2? Those landing missions were fun!

I think they should go with a flying Mako.
Which I believe is coming to cerberus network in a week.

EDIT: I removed the picture because of it's crappy quality.

And something I spotted that could've been a bit offensive.

Shepard will ride upon his trusted steed, Garrus, as he does battle throughout space.

Hooray for vulgarity.
