Technically I suppose I have a high success rate. Two threads in the R&P section, both received multiple pages of posts with almost no meaningless replies.

It varies, but seems to be going down. Mostly it depends on what I review though; if it's something well-known, I get more responses. If it's an indie film that nobody's heard of, then nobody will respond.

I am, of course, talking about my reviews, considering I only start threads to post them.

Not very. Most rarely get more than 10. The most popular one I think was a long-ago thread on Accents in Games, but that still didn't get anywhere near 50. Come to think of it maybe I'll remake that one.

This is probably because my threads are often about obscure things and being the topic creator I go into even more detail than usual. Doesn't leave much left to answer.

My threads aren't about Skyrim, My Little Pony, or Anime or the act of recommending Anime.

NO SUCCESS WHATSOEVER!

Most of my threads crash and burn with under 5 posts. And that's if I'm lucky.

Occasionally I recieve some success, but most of the time, no one cares. TL:DR is the bane of my life, I feel it's what often kills my threads. I've tried to keep things down to a paragraph at most, but still, that appears too much to read for most.

I usually have a nice success ratio. the trick is to pick something that everyone has experience with...and use the damned search bar!

A little hit and miss.

Sometimes I'll post a thread and it will be dead in the water before it can even get a page worth of responses.

I suppose it really depends on the topic.
yup this is my threads right here.
honestly though i don't mind.

Mine rarely get over a page. Especially when I'm asking for some sort of help. I asked about a computer problem once, I got about three or four replies, sent some messages back, then nothing. Then I see other people asking about the same damn thing and they've got like three or four pages of help. Maybe I just suck at writing. Yeah, probably.

I have made 2 threads.

1. has 11,000 views and counting (although admittedly most of the posts are mine.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.191553-Go-on-show-us-your-minis-painted-miniature-gallery-thread-also-Ultramarines-movie-review

(hurrr, thread whoring FTW)

2. was very short with about 4 replies, mainly because I wasn't really asking for them as such, an associate of mine had just stabbed someone to death and I was rather shocked and did one of those useless (to everyone else) 'holy shit this is fucked up, I must tell someone' threads.

I don't often post easy answer or what if or opinion threads. You know the kind I mean, the kind people post on just because they're part of X thing. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with these, they're my post bread and butter. Repeated ones are annoying, and easy badge earners to boot.

So when I get a few hundred, I'm surprised. I usually post questions from my life, or things I genuinely curious about. My "best thread" wasn't on here, it was on some Warhammer Online forums. Thousands of views, maybe tens of. One of the admins there had a little quote prefix he'd always use to end posts, which I've sadly forgotten, but it was something like "[Admins name] gives you..." and then... yeah, you get the picture.

I made a, make your own [Admins name] quote. So basically a forum game. It did quite well, stayed up for a few days. The admin in question was delighted.
