How tall are you and when did you stop growing?

I'm 5'11 and I haven't stopped growing yet, I'm 16

5'6"and, though there's the chance that I'll still grown another half inch or something like that, my opinion is that I stopped growing a little while ago; maybe a little after turning 16.

I find that to be really surprising, I thought that most super heroes were stereotypically tall.

It's probably the fault of the movies, because Hugh Jackman is very tall, but in the comics Wolverine is meant to be very short, hence the codename, he's a small fury creature that will tear you to shreds. It kind of makes sense too, as he was born over a hundred years ago, he's a lot closer to the average then.

But yeah most heroes are quite tall.

I see, I have never read any of the comics, only watched the films which I can't remember very well. I guess that the films had to use a taller actor because they felt by making him taller he would seem more like a "masculine" hero.

I am just shy of 6' 8" tall. I didn't really stop growing until I was 21 (though I barely grew taller past the age of 19).

In the films I think they drew much of their inspiration from Ultimate (seperate initially streamlined universe for new fans) Wolverine, who is taller, younger looking and more handsome than regular Wolverine, who is quite gruff and coarse. That and I guess there's probably more tall actors, than short. I mean Hugh Jackman was excellent as Wolverine, so it's like the eternal debate of whether you take the person who looks like the character or the person who is the best actor.

6'3", i think i stopped growing when i was about 17, can't really be sure though.

According to my passport I am 192cm. I punched those numbers into a converter and it said its about 6'3". I believe I stopped growing at age 16. Not only am I tall, but I have large feet too. I use a size 48 (danish mesurement). Another converter said that it is around a size 15 american. Its fairly anoying being so tall, always bumping my head on the bus
