I'll give you a heads up now, if this thread turns into another slinging match at Moviebob, I'll be locking it pre-emptively. Not that you'd be responsible, it just seems to be the way threads tend to go this last week or so...

If you're suddenly now going to start locking threads "pre-emptively", then I must ask, why is the GG megathread allowed to continue?

If it's because the thread turns 'toxic' or whatever, then I have to let you know that the GG megathread is like a million toxic threads put together.

It does seem to be fairly inconsistent.

Ah, but Okami fan. Isn't fun subjective? I'm sure the GamerGate dudes are having a big old time in that megathread of theirs. They'd be having more fun than a dude with a hooker gift card in Amsterdam (which is some pretty fun shit, let us never kid ourselves). To them, which is, by now, a large number of Escapist users, that would be very fun.

Everything is subjective as fuck nowadays. For better or worse.

Wow, how to take offence at something not directed at you in one easy lesson. Blimey lady the article was trying to point out that games are sold as much the 3 year old girls (who by the way no one sane expects adult behavior from) as to 15 year old boys that are seen as the focus demographic.

Honestly, we did lock the GG thread, but Archon reopened it. You need to report to him about that because we've been told to leave it open until a decision is made from Staff.

I don't think I'd go so far as to say that the moderation is pro-GG, it just seems like a serious exception has been made for the megathread.

Sorry guys but I am locking this thread now. Yes I'm probably being over-zealous but if you keep derailing every thread with GG and twitter screenshots, what do you honestly expect me to be able to do about it?
