graphs aren't really regulated.

I'm now imagining what the Bureau of Graphical and Statistical Affairs would be like.

It's all about the scale. You can manipulate them to appear more or less in favor of certain things. I remember doing it in Economics class.

People tend to agree with them, because of the assumption that the contents are true.
Also helps with an argument, gives weight, like an opinion of an expert in that field, they don't really have to be an expert, as long as people believe it.

Whiel I agree Graphs are evil, they pale in comparison to horrific "Average" and the dreaded "Percentage"
