Gotta agree with the HM thing. I fucking hate lugging around a useless Pokemon just so I can break rocks or cut down trees.
Is it really that much of a problem? Four Pokemon seem to handle things very well, at least they do for me.

Complete revamp of the next generation's starters would be nice...
I agree. A new triangle would be perfect. Plus the design could be a bit more... ambitious. Each of the five revealed so far haven't impressed me in the least.

Make an MMORPG of it
Cmon Nintendo, face it. Times have changed
Seeing as Nintendo are very guarded with their online features, plus they're the advocates of same room multiplayer it's unlikely. We're lucky we have online as it is now.

Getting rid of the turn based Combat.
That's my main problem, everything else requiring fixing could just stem from that.
So essentially strip out the very thing that makes Pokemon, Pokemon? Bizarre.

I was thinking about this the other day, they could make the seasons effect the enviroment in the game. say if there's a mountain it could be rocky mountain in the summer and a ice mountain in the winter and the type of pokemon you catch there change. I havn't really thought about it that much but it would be a nice little touch to the game.
I would love something like that. Gold and Silver introducing Day and Night cycles was fantastic, and I would love something like this. Pokemon games normally last the year anyway so limited catching times wouldn't bother me - it would actually make it more exciting I believe.

Less stupid things like fashion shows, and a rebalance of leveling mechanics. Preferably make the EVs less transparent. I really hate how my little brother can put NO effort into leveling his pokemon and kick my ass with a group of a Lv30, lv6, lv5, lv6, lv10, lv7 while I have 6 level 22s with EVs considered while gaining XP. I shouldn't have to wait for us to be both lv99 before seeing the differences.
I'd actually prefer the option to beat the game (or an extended side story at least) performing only fashion shows. Not because I buy the games for that reason, but to give some diversity. Of course the competitions will need some fleshing out but I think it could be done.
And no to changing EV dynamics, just no.

A far more balanced and less complicated multiplayer system that doesn't require weeks of preparation and wasted time.
Also, I'd like to see a Pokemon that's Half-Bear, Half-Terminator. It would be called Hugglinator.
I think Pokemon is the definition of balance, and making the battle system less complicated would truly turn it into a children only game. THis is one of the most technical RPGs I've come across and I don't want that to change.
I think Freak handled it pretty well in that story is trigger happy, whilst having the scope for chess in multiplayer.

more than 4 attacks.
come on i don't want to use my blizzard on this caterpie when water gun or tackle works just as good.
i say 6 attacks.
Again, stripping what makes Pokemon what it is. Adding one more move would destroy the entire metagame.

I hate it when I have to switch one of my top6 pokemon out because I need a Nidoking as my HM *****. Really annoying.
Also, the games are way too childish. It's obvious they're made for 9 year olds. It's very naive and innocent and everything like that which makes me want to puke.
Oh yeah, and they could stop making more and more pokemon, preferably no more pokemon with retarded type2. Like Medicham or Hoppip. I just can't wait for a poison / psychic or a fire / water pokemon. Well, at least it'll remind me of Bloodhound Gang's Fire Water Burn.
edit
^ The guy above is right. More than 4 attacks. 6 would do absolutely fine.
I think they're aiming at maturing the series, the player characters are older now so fingers crossed. I've never really been that bothered though, its a welcome break from the plenty of violence saturated creations.

Make most, if not all, of the pokemon catchable. I can understand some not being gettable such as mew and other legendaries, but we should be able to catch the other ungodly bulk of the pokedex and shouldn't be penalized for not being able to go out of our way to unnamed conventions or whatever just to get a single pokemon by having blank spots. So for those pokemon you can't get without special event only items or whatever, just leave them out of the pokedex until you get them or the item. Hell, do it for all legendaries simply because it makes sense. That alone would bring me back to the series.
But yeah, make the new starters look less like shit would be nice too. The first 3 generations didn't have bad starters, 4 and 5 had terrible looking ones.
I agree, missing Pokemon is annoying. But their conventions prove popular so I doubt they'll change it.
More Pokemon available from other means would be fine though. Much like Dragon Age Origins had items obtainable from the browser game Dragon Age Journeys.
