I think the best approach is to act rather than talk. A declaration of interest isn't exactly a bad thing, but I think flirtation and attentiveness serve important roles. So invite her over again for more of the same. Then branch out from that after a few nights. The whole while, make sure you're sending proper romantic signals - physical contact of the non-friend variety, such as making out and drunken spanking. Fall into it gradually BUT assuredly. Hugs, kisses, and snuggling say a lot more than "DER I LIKE YU!" /PAW

well there are several ways to proceed:

1. announce it bluntly

2. send hints over the course of the day then announce it

3. wait until she marries someone else and announce it at the wedding

Is she still just a friend?
Say you think she's sweet and would like to spend more time with her.
If you blurt out "I'm in love with you" or "I want to be more than friends" it requires some commitment on her part, and doesn't allow for a flexible response.

If you do say something like "I think you're really sweet and would like to spend more time with you." it doesn't require her to make up her mind on the spot, which the other options does. She is allowed to enter the "experiment" and then walk out on the other end if not interested.

I would have to agree with this, putting people on the spot is probably not the best approach it may work with some, not so much with others.

Besides, this still leaves room for a more direct confession later down the path if you so wish it. ^.^

I don't want to rush into things but we've done things that tell me we might as well be together. Now obviously I could tell her I like her but that's just not...I don't know, I just feel like I could make it more romantic.
