I can listen to everything except modern (c)rap and hip pop. Old school rap is good, but I tend to favor rock and its varieties (from Elvis to Disturbed, but most Death Metal is skipped). Country is ok, but not my cup o tea.

From the 1920's and 30's Ink Spots, Woody Guthrie, and Billie Holiday to Frank Sinatra. Led Zeppelin, the Doors, Pink Floyd, Genesis, the Features, Simon and Garfunkel, the Beatles (of course), and many others. I like 60's and 70's punk from the likes of the Stooges, the Clash, and the Ramones. I enjoy the arty music of Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd and Alexander Spence from Moby Grape. I like listening to classical and free form jazz from National Public Radio whenever I'm in the car. I collect records as a hobby of mine (33's and 45's), and I would like nothing more than to have a 78 rpm phonograph. I guess my favorite genre (or sub-genre) of music would have to be Progressive/Art Rock (Queen, Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, etc.) Probably my favorite artist though, would have to be Bob Dylan. I like him so much that I wrote a term paper about him in my college English class.

I learned how to play guitar by listening to this music. I hate rap though, I just don't see how it's considered good. Then again the only rap I've ever listened is the shit on the mainstream radio in which I'm pretty much forced to listen to through work, friends, etc (but I'd never tell them that). I also severely dislike Pop. All the songs feel so empty, so meaningless. It's manufactured garbage that's spoon fed to the masses.

Happy Listening!

First 10 Shuffled Tracks:

6. Hey You - Pink Floyd
7. Horses Through a Rainstorm - Crosby, Stills, & Nash

9. Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan

Well, I sometimes listen to stuff that isn't metal. By that, I mean either the Cruxshadows or Muse. The rest of the time it's heavy or power metal.

I listen to a huge variety of music... I enjoy most genres.
Let's see: Lord Abortion - Cradle of Filth, Turn It Up - Pixie Lott and Watercolour - Pendulum.
An odd mix, but I quite like each of those songs.
