How was your first impression of Team Fortress 2?

I didn't like it. The community in-game is unfriendly, the newbies get shoved to one side unlike other games, it has random game mechanics that it doesn't explain.

I still think this. I would regret getting it but I got the orange box for half life and portal so...I only keep TF2 installed for Gmod.

It is a pretty game though...but i prefer the short animated advert thingies over the game.

"Meh." After a 90 minute "trial" of sorts on my friends computer. Meanwhile, he was busy playing Plants vs. Zombies on my laptop.

I may get TF2, but I wasn't overly impressed by it. FPS-style games aren't really my style. =|

My first thought was..hmm.is there only one map? Seriously, I played 2fort so many damn times.

Also, I was a little confused as to what we were supposed to be, well, doing. It's like, what, deathmatch? Capture the flag? But there is no flag? Oh, intelligence, right, off I go.

My first thought was that the game was chaotic - the assorted various explosives continually going off in earshot sort of helped that impression....

i really loved it, just because it was whacky and stupid... a lot like me, but also it was clever in places and Valve did put a lot of effort in making the game one of the funnest games i have ever played

Honestly, I didn't like it at first. I gave it another look and realized I was wrong, and began to like each of the characters and their interactions with each other. Now I'm considered a pretty good sniper amongst my peers!

I'd heard of TF2 from a friend, so it came very highly recomended...and i must it lived up to my highest expectations!!!

I found it a fun and involving experience.
