How well can you see color?

Though there was something weird. I depended mostly on color, but when I was a bit unsure between 2 hues, it seemed to me like there was a line depicting a picture, like each block was a puzzle-piece of a whole picture.
I have a scientific mind, so I could theorize that it was either my subconsciousness showing me the correct order, or my mind "dissolving" the color to make a clearer difference, though it could be anything else.
EDIT: It said that I have a little trouble telling the difference in areas where colors start to shift from a color (when red starts becoming orange, when green starts becoming blue, when purple starts becoming red).
