Quite possibly with a control pad plugged into my PC.
Ooooooooh.

Dancing with the dark arts there sonny.

Do you reck it'll benefit from a controller? From what I've seen I think it'll be more mouse friendly.
From what i've seen I agree with you, it will be more mouse friendly.

The only reason i'll be playing with a control pad is I got a new comfy arm chair and my PC is plugged into my TV so I can relax. Probably easier to play on my console but I can't leave my PC alone.

Won't bother. Bethesda doesn't seem to want the money of PS3 players anyway, so ain't giving it to them. Besides, not like we'll get any DLC for the game anyway.
Assuming Dishonored will even have DLC, which is not a guarantee. Plus, Beth is just the publisher. Arkane Studios is responsible for the actual game. Bethesda isn't holding out on PS3 owners, they are just having trouble in the porting. They could release the DLC to PS3, but there's a chance it wouldn't even work for you. Don't get so hung up on it; it's not even a big deal. It's just DLC, and personally boycotting a whole company on that basis means you might miss out on some really good games, for no really good reason.

OT: I'm doing a completely pacifistic run the first time. I feel like it'll be a good challenge.

I don't usually do multiple playthroughs (unless I really, really enjoy the game). But I think I'm going to do at least two runs through Dishonored.

If on the off-chance I do get it later on, I will play it two ways:
Chaos run > Pacifist Run

Using stealth and all the plasmids (yeah, I said it) would likely make the game too easy, so I wanna play the first run through it as a berserker clearing out rooms and leaving no witnesses. The second run, only the bosses I get forced to kill will die.

~don't get me wrong, though, I will play with all the toys at my disposal at least once.

I'll probably go with number two.

I was going to try to be as pacifist as possible, but it seems OOC for him. He's been betrayed by these people, and his life is in ruins because of it. He's given the power to kill them and he decides not to? Unlikely. So, yeah. All shall die in the name of revenge, because my character is a dick.

Also, stealth is more fun.

Still, your idea of killing them and making them look like ancient? Brilliant.

What's the playthrough called where you don't play it cos you're out of money?
I believe that's called imagining how you'd play it if you could afford it. It may or may not involve a big cardboard box and a cushion fort.

Mostly stealth, saving who I want to save and killing who I want to kill. It's the first playthrough, I'll mix it up a little - if I see a mook who I can get a challenging kill on, I'll do it for the fun of it, even if it brings my pacifism levels down. Challenge runs are for later.

But I'll definitely EVENTUALLY do a full-stealth, full-pacifist run.

Fair does.

If I had access to a TV large enough to warrant the switch from my monitor, I'd probably be doing the same. But I don't fancy lugging my rig down 2 flights of stairs and using the communal TV when no one else is using it. LOL.

Have you tried out Steam's big picture Beta? If you're hooking it up to a TV I'd say it's a must. Handles real nice.
I haven't tried that no. If i'm honest I haven't heard about it before bud.

I will be taking a look at it now though, thankyou.

As I always do with stealth games;
Attempt a complete stealth run.
Fail horribly.
Realise I have no patience whatsoever.
Kill everything!

Probably play stealthily, killing as few people as possible. Than I'll try to play berserker style, killing everything.

If I do manage to get around to a third playthrough, I'll probably attempt a "ghost" playthough, doing nothing but completing the mission.

I cannot WAIT for this game! Oh my god it will be too much fun. I will be going with #3 and #4 on Hardest difficulty because that's how I love my stealth games. Hitman style and Psycho way FTW! Can't wait can't wait can't wait. It's been a long time since I've been so excited for a game like this.

I'll do what i usually do on stealth heavy assassin based games... Murder whoever looks at me funny, then RP about my character having multiple personalities.

Not really

Probably a stealth heavy run, screw it up, murder every NPC, quick load and do it properly

With a controller. Heheheh....

I'll probably mix it up Like I do with Hitman; One mission I'm the most analytical and precise killer in existence, and the next mission...well, I'm rather annoyed that on Blood Money, I've never been able to get my 'sound' meter to full at the end of a level.

But...Bethsda has nothing to do with the game, aside from publishing it. And since it's their development team that are fucking up the DLC for Skyrim on the PS3, your perception seems disgustingly narrow.

I'll be playing it this way:

I'd buy 'em both if I could, but money's tight. But I plan to play it stealthily when I do eventually pull it out of a bargain bin somewhere. There are tons of action games out there, and not many stealth games. gotta take advantage of this one.

I don't begrudge your choice but I have to ask why didn't you save up for both? Several publishers still tend to release their products around Christmas time and I skimped on various items for much of the year anticipating this.

First playthrough will be killing each of the targets personally, but leaving no other trace (apart from unconscious guards) the next will be "freak accidents."

Sees first page of thread. *Sigh* poor Arkane...

Like I always do in these type of games. First playthrough I'll be a ghost, second playthrough a panther style(mix up stealth, entrapment and attacking from the shadows style), then a mass murdering maniac.
