you have to understand that you're in public school. if you don't play football, are a cheerleader, or hang out with either of those groups, the school society probably isn't kind to you. being that my parents were teachers for 30+ years, i can confidently say you'll get in HEAPS more shit if you phrase your arguments with "colorful vocabulary" as opposed to keeping your cool. let the girl blow up. odds are she'll get punished since rules are rules, or if not, you can always make a fuss about it with your parents. the administration kisses the ass of every parent with a problem who comes in to have a parent-teacher conference. it's all a game, sonny. you just have to know the rules and how you can bend them to your favor

Something like this happened back in 5th grade between me and a teacher, it involved a trig problem, i got after school detention, and spent it rechecking my math, because the Teacher had said i was wrong, the teacher then left the room for a while, i went up to her desk, and saw a trig book open of her desk, it had the problem the argument was about, and an explanation saying i was right.

Then after the detention was done, the teacher gave me another detention for not acting sorry enough about starting a pointless argument (of all the bs in the world), but i was right.

That's the way the schooling system works. They punish both parties of any fight or argument to keep students "behaving." It's the only system of punishment more ludicrous than our prison system is.

I've gotten into alot of trouble in my English Classes over the years

(Now this part might sound kind of elitist but its true)

Last year my teacher was iggnorant and racist, and I often had many fights with her over stupid racist things shes said.

This year, I didn't get placed into Acelerated English, which my counsler told me was because my past teacher told them not to. While this year I have no problem with my teacher, their's this girl in my class who is a rich girl, snotty, bitchy, whiney type and pisses me off.

So a couple days ago Im presenting my paper when I say something about how employees from lots of major companies are mistreated, and underpayed. So I say something about how an 20-something year old employee at a job under these companies has to work for x amount of time to get y product.

When this girl states how, EVERYBODY who works at a 'dead beat' job (such as a retail place) is a uneducated, dropout, scum of the earth.

When I reply to her how that most people who work at a place (such as mcdonalds) are students that are either supporting their parents/paying for school/just getting extra cash, or immigrants doing the same. I then state how my father came from greec and had many 'dead beat' jobs even though he had a good education back in greece, and worked his way up and now has become a very sucesful owner and a great rolemodel.

Then this ***** replies with a how immigrant are bad people, made fun of greece, and made hatefull racist comments on subject relating to the paragraph above.

I ofcourse was pissed how my teacher didnt react to her, stating that I had to defend my reasearch and shit, so I did exactly that, stating how wrong and racist she was. With some colorful vocabulary from both parties.

This thing was finally ended by my teacher, and this girl resulted with 3 40 min detentions
and I have a 1and a half day suspension! I called my teacher out on this bullshit, but she gave me shit on how she dosn't give out the punishment, even though she was in the room

You may think this sounds lame, but I guarantee you will ALWAYS be better off NOT swearing and freaking out when people act like idiots like that girl and your teacher did. Trust me.

When it's all over and people look back at what happened, they'll see you acted appropriately and maturely, and they won't have any reason to suspend you or reprimand you.

I do agree with you, that this girl and your teacher are both acting completely inappropriately, and you had every right to be offended. And I know it's not easy to not get angry with ignorant people like this, but if you can manage it, you'll end up much better off.

I wanted you to formulate an answer in your own time, rahter than feel pressured into responding quickly, which happens a lot on forums.
The answer is less meaningful because you pushed it out in 7 minutes and you admit to being sleep deprived so your thoughts on the matter can only have been knee-jerk.

I've put plenty of thought into it. I've talked to gay people, and straight people, and I've reached the conclusion that aside from having a different orientation, they're exactly the same. I honestly couldn't care less what sex you prefer to stick your dick in. It has nothing to do with me, and is in no way relevant to any intellectual conversation.

I put it out in 7 minutes because I've thought about these issues quite a bit. I am firm in my convictions, and have logical, rational reasoning to back it up.

I go to a private school with lots of other rich kids, and the snobby ignorant kids are an incredibly small minority. It is a joke, but before grade 8, the catholic school system in my class has a class like that, it isn't called life 101, its called "Courtesy and Social Behavior"
I do net deny being snobby, i am smug, arrogant, condescending, etc. However, my snobby qualities stem, not from wealth, but from the morons who live in my state. In eighth grade i was the best high school level mathmatician in my state, i title i still have. In school, i am in classes with people 3 years older, and outside of school i take college junior level courses. Snobbyness has to be earned. but, unlike the ***** in the starting thread, i am not ignorant
