How would you convince someone the Holocaust existed?

I'd take them to the museum in Washington and lock them in there for three days. If they don't go insane, they will accept the truth. If they can ignore it for that long without snapping, they aren't human and should be tested for robotic endoskeletons.

I'd ask them what they did last week. I'd then ask them to prove it. On the off hand that they had evidence, I'd claim it was all fabricated.
Either they'll get it, or they won't, and really, there comes a point where if they don't get it, they never will.

I approach this like I approach an arguement in politics, gender equality, console vs console, console vs pc, and racial disputs: by not approaching them at all.

Terribly sorry, and I do see you put a lot of thought into the scenario, but a good rule to live by is 'there is just no argueing with some people and certain topics' because they always desolve into arguements.

You can't. The only merciful thing to do with a person like that, is to beat some sense into them with the largest and heaviest object you can comfortably hold.

If someone is immune to facts, there's no help for them until the sheer weight of the cognitive dissonance they have to live in smacks them upside the head.

Not waste my time. Congrats, you have an irrational aversion, and I've made notes to irrationally avoid you.

Take them to Auschwitz, my father went there once and told me that it was the most terrifying and errie place he'd ever been in.. and he was a career soldier.

Ultimately, people like this cannot be convinced. This is why it is important that we include this great horror in our mandetory school history lessons.

It must never be forgotten, and people must never be allowed to spread the lie that it did not happen.

At that point where evidence couldn't satisfy them there is no point in arguing. They won't be swayed from their ignorance if they won't accept physical proof. It'd be like arguing with a brick wall.
Fact.
If this person simply refuses to believe evidence is evidence, I'd rather not frustrate myself.
unless it is a life or death situation, then basically this.

why the fuck would i care so much? they are obviously one ignorant mofucker, i'm not going to grow gray hairs out my ass just to simply fill their shit for brains with logic.

You know all of that evidence. I'd show you that.

You know the written and photographic evidence. That stuff.

I'd learn Necromancy and resurrect Hitler. Then bring that person Hitler and have him say his belief and see Hitler go crazy and say his thing about the Jews and all. If you still don't believe that then i'll use my time machine and send you back to have you exterminated

Allow me to show you Auschwitz.
Now, follow me...

Yes, into this room... It's quite dirty in here, you see, so we'll just have a nice shower.
You in there yet?
Good. Right, now, anyone know where they kept the Zyklon B?

Punch them multiple times in the face and scream the word 'Idiot' at them over and over again.
Then i'd take Auschwitz.
Then i'd take them to see some survivors.
Then i'd take them to see some smouldering ruins.

Then i'd repeat step 1 until my fist became numb.

How do you convince someone that their belief in one God or another is wrong?

You can't. If someone is that dedicated to their belief, it's impossible to sway their opinion. It's best just to ignore them.

I agree with this, and like others have said, if they won't see reason, I'm not going to waste my time trying to make them see reason.

Once somebody's convinced that an enormous conspiracy has fabricated all evidence for X, there's little point in arguing with them. All documents are faked and aged. Alleged eyewitnesses are actors. Buildings are either relabeled or created from scratch. Artifacts are manufactured or simply misnamed. All scientists or other experts have been paid off.

Really, about the only argument you can make is to ask why the conspiracy hasn't accomplished all of it's goals already given the vast resources, skills, and will available to it. The alleged Jewish conspiracy ought to have expanded Israel's borders to the Niles and Euphrates, eradicated the Palestinians, and turned Mecca into a parking lot by now.

Hey guys, I have a really bizarre question to ask. As the title says, imagine if I was one of the crazy people who think the Holocaust was one giant conspiracy, what would you do to try and convince me otherwise.

Keep in mind that I wouldn't be swayed by witnesses or historical accounts because that's all "part of the lie", and I wouldn't be affected by an appeal to logic or reason because I'm clearly insane. You'd need near-irrefutable proof to convince me that history isn't one giant Jewish-controlled conspiracy.

Oh, and sorry if this question is offensive, I just thought it would be an interesting thinking exercise, not trying to offend anyone.
Well, if the physical site and human remains at Aushwitz, the tattoos on old, poor, Jews who obviously do not have the resources to show that they are benefitting in any way from a conspiracy they'd clearly be complicit in, the existance of the state of Isreal in a Eurocentric world of Eurocentric anti-Semitism, Filmed evidence, Nazi confessions, objects that can be DNA-tested to prove they were made from Jewish body parts, filmed archives dating from that period showing a well known politician calling for anti-semetic measures, FILMED DOCUMENTATION OF EXECUTIONS BY NAZIS cannot convince you....

If you cannot believe the holocaust occured, then you are fundamentally incapable of understanding empirical evidence, and you are fundamentally incapable of rational thought. Even without confessions, fundamental forensic analysis of ANY of the sites in question can reveal that a massive destruction of human life occured, and further analysis can reveal genetic and racial links among those murdered.

You can believe in the holocaust because THERE'S MILLIONS OF DEAD BODIES AND SCIENCE CAN FUCKING PROVE IT.

At this point in history all you really have is the story. The story told by the survivors, the one told by the guards and murders who still live and the one told by the places where human misery was distilled into a currency bartered freely in a bid for power. There is plenty of evidence to be had I suppose but proof? There is no proof of a thing once it happens - simply stories to be believed or discounted. History doesn't seem to care which story people believe.
