How would you improve a Pokemon game mechanic?

I want a proper PC release (ie not an emulator) with actual 3d environments/models and an open world. I watched the anime as a kid and I always dreamt of exploring the giant forests, mountains, etc. with a couple of friends and some pokemon.

you are talking about an official pokemon mmo, my dream too since I played red version, I hope someday gamefreak will do that but unfortunately I dont think so.
