In front of a PC, with a mouse and keyboard. (Call me easily pleased... IN THE FUTURE!)
Give me a keyboard, a mouse, and a good strategy game. No further questions, Your Honor. The defense rests.

People just want things to stay the same I guess!

Somebody also mentioned to me today the idea of voice recognition in games, such as spoken commands.
It's interesting though how many people would rather just keep things the same and yet companies continue trying to come up with new 'exciting' ways to play games.

That's because there's nothing to change.

You can't change the basic mouse+keyboard setup and when playing a game after working for a whole day, most people don't want to wave their arms around to... open a door or something.

Voice commands... sure, but assuming it even recognises my accent, I'm not going to speak in English when playing a game. So have fun trying to get the commands to work with every accent of every language.

Just something that's not Wii, or otherwise casual based.

Wii is only fun at parties with alcohol. Aside from a very few titles, it's just a bunch of mini games, being sold at the same price as a regular game, despite very low production costs. Man the general public are such suckers.
I like the control system, how about some better utilization ay? Maybe then it would be a worthwhile platform.

I want games to be fun anytime. I also want the same widespread of good platformers in gaming that we saw back in the 90's. I'm sick of FPS being the dominant genre. If I see another advert for generic military FPS #13341312 I will kick a kitten.

Also how about improving online gaming. Xbox Live is the shitstain of online gaming. Using a peer to peer network that's about as stable as a one legged pig, and having to pay for the privilege, not to mention the player limit being capped at 24, buuuuullshit. Bring back dedicated servers, free online, mods, and all that other cool shit. (I'm looking at you Modern Warfare 2)

Oh another thing, STOP DUMBING DOWN GAMES!!

I played Ikaruga on LIVE Arcade. It was a god damn insult! If people don't like a challenge, then fuck them.

Another thing is milked franchises. Last year we had 3 games from the Guitar Hero franchise, 4 if you count DJ Hero. It takes the piss!

Also stop being such dicks with DRM! All it does is give hackers a fun thing to do in an evening by giving them more of a challenge of getting around it, and pissing off gamers who pay for their games by restricting their rights to the product they bought, and screws over gamers without internet connections.

Oh and if digital distribution replaces hard copies, I will shit on the damn pope. For the time that my PS3 was out of commission like so many others, all of my downloaded games that I paid real money for were unplayable. This is unnacceptable. There is no excuse, as they would have worked if they were hard copies. Both formats should work as well as each other.

I like the way things are set up now.

The point of a controller is to have direct control of a character through buttons and analogue sticks, that or mouse/keyboard.

If I wanted the experience of having full funtion let's say of a shooter, I'd go play paintball.

Running around in front of a motion sensor (Natal) or even in the future if they ever get VR right would just be...well??..silly!!0o

Hey it is. You are never too old for Tag.

And true VR for the win. Something like ARI (Heavy Rain) only with better games.

I'd like to see it become more affordable (the only reason I root for the pirates) and more transparent: I bought a ps3 on the potential of what it can do, but unfortunately it still hasn't nearly lived up to that potential. Too bad it's competitor was bursting into flames at the time because otherwise I may have been happier with that.
So I want better choices of consoles not just the choice between a cheap machine that will probably break and an expensive machine that wont do most of the things marketing promised. Maybe sega can get their $#!+ together and make consoles again. As long as Americans still get the whole console.

I think I want to relax in my matrix chair, play some Call of Duty 15: Martian Warfare, download my classes for school and generally have fun.
