So I was just talking to my brother, and he said something along the lines of "I like Halo because it's not too popular."
My response was a half laughing, "are you serious?" and he was.
So, I just wanna know, how would you react to something like this?

Not only is that not true, it doesn't make any sense. You like a game because it is well designed and is fun to play, or at least I thought that's why people like games.

Compare it to the number of people who don't like something because it is popular, or because of the way the fanbase can act.

I'd open up Google, type in Halo and show him how many millions of results it gets. Then, I'll Google something else that's popular, such as Paris, then show him how many results that got in comparison.
