Research and develop the worlds largest basket of lemons, and threaten to throw it with some force, at the world unless I'm the leader of the world.

That plan would improve 100000 times if it involved not only the largest basket of lemons BUT the largest basket pf combustible lemons that burn your house down. Also life should give you some normal lemons but you should get MAD and throw them back then burn life's house down with your combustible lemons that you got your engineers to make.

You probably didnt get all this if you havent played portal 2.

first I would seize control of a African country (allot of African countries have a unstable government so it wouldn't be to hard) I would spread a message of peace and try to unite the countries under one flag.

Assuming there are still ALLOT of diamonds/raw materials left in the ground I wouldn't need to worry about money I would simply buy allot of weapon,s/ military vehicles (tanks,jeeps etc.).

Since allot of people would like me (I created peace in their country) I wouldn't need to worry that much about a coup d'etat I could use the army to take over other countries (pretty much taking over any country standing in my way snowballing my resources/men at arms)

Secretly construct bases (with factories) and a giant robot army that all the armies in the world combined can't even begin to hope to win against.
Then take over the world in a matter of hours. (The time it takes to move the robots out of the bases and have the occupy earth with about one robot every 25 square meters.)

secretly starting World War 3, letting it go as these things usually do, meanwhile being in control of a "neutral" country and then starting a campaign of rapid expansion during the end days of the war when the victory of one side is almost certain. After that becoming a worldwide superpower and conquering smaller lands one by one. After the world was mine I'd use all the funds that normally go to military to eliminate poverty, hunger and then expand into space.

You really think you could invade Siberia and Nepal? I think we could rule our respective regions of the world, playing off of the cold-war mentality we would foster in our respective citizens, while really having a strong alliance. Then if anyone attempts to usurp us, we will handily defeat them with the fruits of our mutual arms race.
