Or if you're in Britain they'll deny you the right to speak there: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/universityeducation/student-life/11930441/Stepford-student-culture-threatening-free-speech.html

Fifth In great Britian, that's the freaking law. They don't allow hate speech. That's pretty common in Europe
Surely a British newspaper writing an article with the headline "'Stepford student' culture threatening free speech" suggests that this isn't a common occurrence, and that free speech is actually valued in the UK?
Yeah but its still the law regardless of how one personally feels about it. Its like being upset that police broke up a maraijuana dispensary that treats sick folk in a state where marijuana isn't legal. Marijuana advocates have every right to be upset and think that the law is dumb but it is bog standard legal proceedings for the region.
As far as I'm aware Julie Bindel has never been arrested for hate speech though. Neither has Milo Yiannopoulos. I think hate speech has to be considered to be threatening rather than just insulting to be actionable.

I'm going to have to ask for a citation on people getting kicked out of colleges for disagreeing with political correctness.
You'd be amazed man I see stuff like that all the time. I had to take down my life drawings when I was in college the other year because the feminists were complaining that the female form is "rape culture". I had friends that had to go to lectures to be taught not to be rapists and racists because they were white and male etc. I was looking at case just the other day where a man here in Ontario is literally being taken to court for disagreeing with feminists on twitter. He isn't even allowed access to the internet now and it isn't like he was threatening anybody either even by the feminists own admission. He never ever broke the terms of service from twitter. I saw videos of students attacking a dean because he wasn't personally making sure peoples costumes at Halloween were "PC" enough.

Even here on this forum you can tell it bothers people that Catlin Jenner is being made fun of on South Park like she is somehow above criticism because she is trans or like she somehow represents all trans people which is moronic at best.
He's claiming that people are getting kicked out, there's a line between this and that. Can you give me more details on the white males thing? Because as a white male I felt like I benefited from being told that I have advantages over blacks and women, ones I didn't even know about. Yeah it wasn't fun to learn about, but it was helpful. And was it mandated? As in, they were forced to take that one course and no other course could get them the credits they need? As for the twitter thing, can I get a link to that? Because the weird thing about law is that you can take anyone to court over just about anything. The thing that decides it is if the judge actually wants to hear it. And these examples, are they overwhelming trends or more isolated examples? Because there are plenty of instances of the opposite happening, teachers being fired for being atheist and the like. There's going to be shitty things happening no matter where you look. Because human beings are really stupid when you get down to it.

People aren't criticizing the fact that she's being made fun of, they're criticizing making fun of her by dipping into tired and cliched jokes that poke fun of the fact that she's transgender.
Ok I challenge you to name one legal right anybody has in a first world nation as a white male over anyone who is either black or female. I doubt you will name anything but I can tell you right now I can name a good few legal rights women have that men don't and I know I can't think of a single law that applies to "black people" that doesn't apply to white. You know what is really the most prejudice thing of all? Telling people they are benefited or disadvantaged purely based on race, gender, sexuality or any other arbitrary physical trait. Unless these things are set in law everyone is going to have different experiences and treating people as a collective takes away their agency as a individual and treats them based on prejudice assumptions.

As for the course yes it was required they take that course in order to be able to participate in certain aspects of campus life. It wasn't for credits and it isn't about the credits its about the fact that you are assumed by default as stunted and you are a horrid person until you prove that otherwise. Its EXTREMELY insulting.

As for the twitter story here is a link to a video that kinda goes through the situation fairly quick. The guy is kinda vulgar throughout it but its all sourced and backed up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15ku-uVepUM . I don't really get why you are bringing up atheists though? What do anti-atheists have to do with PC feminist SJW types? so far as I have seen is that atheists and anti-atheists are their own thing all together.

I dunno man I have seen a ton of people calling making fun of Catlin Jenner "transphobic" here on the board which assumed that making fun of her automatically means that you have a hatred of all trans people by extension.

I said advantages, not legal rights, there's a difference. Because racial minorities and women have to go through a lot of crap white men don't, and those laws are an attempt to level the playing field. Yes, there are no DIRECT laws targeting blacks, but I learned something interesting about US drug laws recently. Back in the 19th century, middle/upper class white men did opium, cocaine and marijuana, and no one blinked about it, coddling them if they got addicted. Then migrant workers came in, people starting panicking about white men losing jobs (Insert TAKING UR JAHBS clip here) but they couldn't outlaw being black, Chineese or Mexican. Then they noticed that the Chinese did Opium, the Mexicans smoked Marjuana, and Blacks did Cocaine. So the US government made all of those drugs illegal. Many of those laws are still in place today. Hell, the US War on Drugs, which has caused the US prison population to explode and is still going on, was started in the 1980s with some pretty racist propaganda against blacks and did, and still does, target them disproportionately. Turns out racial profiling is still alive and well in many police departments. So yes. There is no direct law that applies to blacks only, but they gotta deal with a hell of a lot more shit than I do. They are not inherently more privileged, but as a white man I have to worry a whole lot less of being subjected to a stop and frisk or being raped.

...Well I can't defend that. I don't disagree with its message but the way it was conveyed was pretty...I don't have the words I'm looking for so I'll just say really dumb.

Well mainly because the PC crowd is usually accused of being against Christians too and SJW is a term that's loose at the best of times...well, I made what I thought was a logical leap. I'm working on a paper right now (on and off at least IT COUNTS!) so I'll take a more in depth look at that story later, thanks for the link

The only one I ever saw was the one that expressed disapproval about making pot shots at her gender while also admitting they laughed at the running over scene. Before it was done to death that is.
