Are you mildly fascinated by gruesome and disgusting images or stories, or do you want to stay as far away as possible from that shit? Do you have guts of steel or could merely the sight of blood make you throw up?
I'm on the highly curious side of the spectrum. Bring on the most disgusting, disturbing, images possible... it's fun and generally amusing to look at. Stomach of iron and all that. If someone can find me a picture that will make me throw my guts out I'll buy them a beer or something. Of course, can't do that on the escapist so that offer is null.

Well, when I started reading Franken Fran, I just couldn't for the life of me put it down because I was too curious what horrible fucked up things were gonna happen next.

I actually stopped reading eventually because things became too mild, considering what had preceded it. Caterpillar girl, anyone?

I was like that for one evening of scrolling through this awful MS Paint comic Warmage. Poor writing, gratuitous creepy sex scenes, ridiculous plot, and an obvious Marty Stu character (he had a harem of about three different girls by the time I gave up in disgust), which all made for one of the most unpleasant reading experiences I've ever been through. I only kept going to see if it could possibly get worse. Conclusion? It could.

That's practically the entire reason I find myself struggling to sleep and making the unwise decision of reading through some SCPs/Holders series/TVtropes' body horror related pages.

I guess part of it's my fascination with horror special effects. Particularly body horror.

I only find things so gruesome to look away from only when I'm not expecting it.

And I find this video related to the topic:
0:28 & 0:40 = Complete genius.

I love gore! If I was Sherlock Holmes then gore would be my cocaine addiction. I can understand why people would dislike and hate it but my god I can't get enough of it. Sadly this of course comes at a price of everyone in my school thinks I'm a sociopath.

If it's real gore, like pictures of car crashes and shit... ugh, don't get the point.
I do find myself getting quite engaged by some creepy stuff once I start reading it though.

I'm not really put off by guts and gore, and I would only be interested in such a production if their is some element of interest within the context that I want to learn about. Maybe it's a legend or myth in the form of a horror movie, maybe it's a graphic book that tells about the middle ages, or maybe it's a book with a lot of gory detail that depicts the search for a serial killer.

Again, if the interest is there, I will not let the gory content deter me from learn more about the content.
