After that Detroit fiasco last Sunday, I'm really glad my Cowboys are off this week -_-.

I'm a huge LiverpoolFC fan and the hopes are pretty high with all the new signings and the shitty first part of last season. So far the football is looking good but a few bad games in the begining, we'll see how it goes. As for my local football team here in Finland they seem to be getting one step higher for next season which is great.

Aston Villa are doing alright but 2 wins in 7 games is hardly setting the world on fire. We are still undefeated this season which goes to show that Alex McLeish is doing something right and so far is doing a better job than Gerrard Houllier last season. Which is saying something as we had the team pretty much dismantled in the summer with Young going to Man U, Downing going to LIverpool and Friedel to Tottenham. As well as losing Carew and Rio Coker and numerous others for free to other teams. Shay Given is an awesome signing for us, probably one of the signings of the season and we got him for a bargain £3 million. Not sure about N'Zogbia yet, I think he needs to find his feet because he was pretty good for Wigan.

On the plus side, its nice to see Agbonglahor find his scoring boots again after having a terrible season under Houllier, if his form continues then I think that he should be recalled for the England team, I think that him and Bent (who continues to justify his high price tag in January) could be something special up front for England. Its nice to see Ireland getting some games too as he was another one that suffered under Houllier last season, hopefully with enough games under his belt he can do for us what he did for Man City a couple of years back. I'd like to see Marc Albrighton get some more games too because he is possibly the best player we have brought through from the youth team in years and he impresses me pretty much every time he plays.

Hopefully we can continue the good start to the season, we've got Man City next weekend, which is a scarey thought considering the awesome start to the season they have had. But we beat them in January so I reckon that if we defend well, something that McLeish is an expert at, then we have a chance. Realistically, I think that if we continue this form this season though, I reckon we could finish 9th or higher, but we need some more wins otherwise we could end up drawing our way into a relegation battle.

Any other Villa fans on this forum?

The "mighty" Toon Army, Newcastle United, are doing better than in those wonderful dreams of glory I have, unbeaten 7 game start, 4th in the league, it'll never last, but its fun while it lasts. In more local news, Blyth Spartans are doing less amazingly, by quite a bit, hovering just above relegation zone after 12 games. In even more local news my team, the mouthful that is "Blyth Rangers Deportivo Under 16's" are doing even worse, losing all our games so far, and we are 4 games in, playing another match in a few hours, hopefully we can stop this dire start.

Currently I'm trying to assemble the best team to beat Sabrina, the psychic gym leader, in Pokemon stadium. It's such a ***** because the only thing psychic is weak against is bug and all the bug moves in Gen 1 are shit. My best chance is to hit them with physical attacks since they have low defense and survive their psychic attacks. Some ground Pokemon might do me well here... Sorry, I don't follow any sport, it bores me...

Be thankful, you could be stuck with Shola Ameobi. Room for more signings (looking at you, Mike Ashley)

My team in Disgaea 2 is actually coming along nicely. Found a nice powerleveling spot, so my healer is worth a damn now. We don't have an official name, yet, but I guess if someone wants to name us, that'd be cool.

Scotland's rugby team. They were beaten by England but what a game. What a game. They were in the lead up until the last couple of minutes when an Englishman sneaked through and scored a cheeky wee try.

Not too bad, I'm a level 34 archmage and the my EDH team is doing fairly well. Drana is an all-star as always while Chainer and Haakon keep up good support.

I'm a football (UK) fan. I've got two teams: one in the Premiership, one in the Bundesliga. The English one is doing fine, but I'm afraid my beloved Hamburg will be relegated if they don't get their act together post-haste.

Then there are the international fixtures, of course. England are dire, which is really amusing. Still managed to qualify for the Euros, though.
Ah yes, I have given up supporting England and have decided to give my support to a more worthy team... like San Marino, which are doing as poor as always. In foreign football, my lovely, lovely Napoli destroyed Inter 3-0 at the San Siro, and I couldn't have been prouder :')

Bolton wanders, are bottom of the league at the minute so doing very well at this point, but my second team morecambe are doing pretty well 6th in leauge 2 so pleased with that one. Im not sure why i support morecambe as i leave nowheres near there. (I think it is a feel sorry for them as they don't really have anything there anymore after closing frontier land but i digress sorry) i also apologise for saying that if you live there but i went back like 12 months ago just visiting and saw nothing of interest.

The Detroit Tigers made it into the semi-finals for the MLB post-season. Which is pretty exciting, since this is the first time I've really paid attention to any sport whatsoever.

It's a shame they lost 2-3 against the Rangers tonight.. Better than the 10-1 loss to the Yankees on Tuesday, though. That was just pitiful.

I just don't know what to think about the Vikings now. They've had their ups and downs but that losing streak hurts to see. Just hoping we can pick it up and potentially make the playoffs!

My cricket team lost by 140 runs in our first match of the season.
What format? 'cos if that was one-day... then damn, that was a caning...

Manchester United is doing alright so far at the top of the Premier League, although it's only a single goal separating us from Manchester City so far. Living in Australia and not having Foxtel means I get to see barely any games, although occasionally I do get a chance to catch one at a mates place, such as just last week. Norwich City put up a decent fight to manage to keep it scoreless until the 68th or so minute, though it wasn't the best game to see. Some shoddy mistakes were made by both sides.
o_0' Are there really no Manchester United fans in the Trafford area?!

Just kidding, but damn, I hate City... they are the new Chelsea... that much coveted label of the Premier League...(!)

In other sports England were dumped out of the rugby world cup yesterday, which still hurts. Though I'm part Welsh so revenge will come next week in the semi finals.
Yah, they were only good for about half of the second half... don't know what was happening in the first half... eesh...

Seriously, that match should just be called: the Piri Weepu Show. One of the commentators just said 'this New Zealand team is being kept ahead by a dumpy little bloke called Piri'...(!) Still, a pity he missed that conversion...

OT: Um... the cricket season ended a few weeks ago... and we, Essex CCC, ended up low-mid-table... again...

As for football, Fulham FC fan here, and man our start was rubbish in the PL, though we're ablaze in the Europa League, Andy Johnson, what a start he's had. And QPR 6-0, hurr, hurr! What? It was our first win of the season, fuck off that it was against PL newboys!
