HUGE RUMOR: Goku in Super Smash Bros 4?

Yes people, you heard correct! There is a rumor spreading like wildfire that since Namco is helping with Super Smash Bros. 4, that they're going to add Goku, from Dragon Ball Z, into the game! This Rumor comes from an IGN user named "100 Year Old Gamer", who said the fallowing:

Namco makes the games young brawlz, it's hasn't been decided yet, but there is a chance *Winkey Face*

What are your thoughts? It'd be neat if true. I did watch Dragon Ball Z as a kid, and I did have a few of the fighting games, though I've never been a big fan of anime in general. Still, let's see if it's true.

Seems fake. Especially that picture with Goku fighting Stitch. Seems like a photoshop lie to me.

The picture is fake. I only added it because of what the rumor said. I'll fix that so no one ever has to talk about the picture. Just the rumor.

That... that could make up for the fact that they're probably going to keep up with questionable roster choices, such as the uncreative and/or unwanted Fire Emblem characters. We could've had Lyn or other lightweight brawlers, or a bunch of cool mages or archers, but no, we get Marth - again. He hadn't even had a release in NA yet, and he's here. And when he finally does have a release, its crap.

TBH I might prefer Kid Gohan, but I could see balance issues with that.

They should replace Marth with Lucina from Awakening. Keep the move-set since they use the same sword style.

Why not? Goku's a popular, beloved character and Dragonball Z offers some flashy attacks.

(Although I'd still prefer a guy from the Souls games as a Namco-Bandai representative. )

You can see balance issues with kid Gohan but not with Goku. My brain is really confused right now.

Personally I would prefer Goku stays out since he is more of a anime/manga character rather than a video game character. The theme of smash bros is characters from different video games franchises fighting each other not characters from anything I mean what is next Harry Potter?

I love Dragon Ball but Goku doesn't fit.

To be fair both Ike and Marth are two of the most popular characters in the game both here and in the east and Fire Emblem is massively popular in the east. I realize that, and I know they weren't going to scrap an entire character in a fighting game for localization. Or at least, not for this fighting game. Still though, using him twice in the states after we've had four Fire Emblem games? No Eliwood, Hector, Lyn, Ephraim, Eirika? There's a bunch of non-lords that could make decent additions as well. Anyways, I'm just hoping he doesn't make another return, and the same for Ike, one of my favourite fighters, as well. The world in each Fire Emblem game are mostly unrelated to each other, and as such, Marth shouldn't become the face of the franchise.

Well like I mentioned before both are very very popular so I wouldn't be surprised if they both return. I just hope they don't change Ike too much he is my personal fav but thats biased

I should also mention for the record I agree with you having someone who isn't a sword user would be fun I know I would enjoy having a Spear or Axe user.
