ahh well.

i never had any problems with the bosses, and i specialised in hacking mostly too. Then again, i was armed to the teeth ^_^

Make sure you invest in an explosive revolver, and save it. That is all you will need for the boss fights.

Frag mines.

Always pack on the frag mines for bosses.

Always.

Except for the last one.

And the Missing Link one.

Stun him with the stunner, then throw a barrel at him.

The second girl is pretty much the same, stun her with the stunner (though you'll likely not have much ammo left by now if you're like me) if she is becoming bothersome, else use the vision to avoid her when she charges and she'll pretty much kill her self with all the electricity and the water.

The third one? A max upgraded laser rifle with 1.5 ammo will pretty much kill him quickly through the walls.

The fourth boss? A laser rifle can skip the entirety of the Hyron Project battle because it can shoot through glass.

Barrett is the only really tough boss, so congratulations on getting him. All the other ones have ways to cheap them out (Albeit for the third it's a glitch, not actually intended by the game), so you should find them pretty easy as long as you're willing to do that.

But, yeah, Typhoon is a life saver. Of course, my first playthrough was as a pacifist, so I just had a stun gun and tranq rifle at this point. That was fun.

I am feeling really stupid right about now for not knowing you could throw barrels at him.

Also, Typhoon isn't really that necessary, there are better things you can use your points on that help with the rest of the game. Although if you're not going for Typhoon, make sure you get the immunity to electrical shocks upgrade before the second boss.

EMP grenade or flashbang + shotgun to the face. Usually get off 2, maybe 3 shotgun shots before having to move again. Repeat a few times and say bye bye Barrett.

In honesty, this tactic actually worked throughout for all but last boss, though that was a different twist than the others. You could use two typhoon shots or so, but I would save the ammo for better situations (assuming you aren't going for a stealth playthru...and if you are it would beg the question why you would take typhoon on a stealth playthru!).

This is my personal favorite method for taking him down

But in your situation I would throw barrels at him

start throwing #$%^ at him

preferably the green tanks with the biohazard symbol, and when he is puking his guts out start throwing the red barrels.

God help you on the second boss though :)
The second boss is easy, 2 blasts of the Typhoon and she goes down, even on the hard setting.

There are storerooms with ammo and guns and bomb and stuff in two corners of the room. Use them to your advantage. Also, throw shit at him for an easy kill.

After much frustration, I just hid behind a crate in the storage room and listened to his taunts. At some point he hit himself with so many of his grenades that he died.

At least that's what I think happened. I'm honestly not sure x_x

Thats-
Toss concussion grenade,
Toss red barrel,
Toss green canister,
Toss red barrel,
Toss green canister,
Toss red barrel.
(Profit!)

Barret in just over a minuite people.

Also you can subsitute red barrels for frag mines.

Stun Gun + Barrels/Gas tanks is the easiest way I found of disposing that guy.

Stun gun gives you a few moments of breathing time that you could use to go into cover and use that to get out of his vision. There's a stun gun in the area, you can use that. If you have a shotgun, then no need for the barrels/gas tanks. Just stun him, get close and shoot at the head once, go to cover, and repeat.

I uh...I beat all the bosses on Give Me Deus Ex without the Typhoon, it's not really necessary. A Revolver with explosive rounds definitely helps, though. If I were you, I'd throw barrels and/or grenades. Ignore the shotgun and combat rifle, dump all your 10mm into headshots. Barrett isn't really that bad compared to a certain Russian who made me want to take a sledgehammer to my controller. I don't have any suggestions for her other than buy Smart Vision if you haven't, and ideally the electrical resistance upgrade.

I shot him in the head with a Revolver a couple of times. No problem.

some of us dont use the typhoon.

hell ive played it twice and i never used typhoon, just not part of my fighting style. I go the stealth route, and if im in a fire fight i try to get position and range.

Fair enough. I just find that the boss fights are so badly done, its easier to press the "Fuck you" button, get the fights over and done with and get on with the rest of the game.
