I don't give a fuck about driving either, so you are not alone on that.Julianking93 said:(I am probably the only teenager who doesn't give a fuck about driving)
well I could make a ironic snarkey remark but I'll be a gentlemen, I am yet to actually experience that though so that might be why I'm skepticleNeonbob said:No, she's from within the periphery.Guitar Gamer said:now that sounds great and all but isn't your girlfriend from the periphery of your life?Neonbob said:Because long ago, someone came up with the phrase "sweet 16," it stuck, and now we are burdened with this idea that turning 16 is some wonderfully glamorous event.
I think my best birthday was my 18th. Only partly because I turned 18, which meant that I no longer needed parental approval to get games. It was mostly good because I spent it with my girlfriend, rather than a large group of people I only know from the periphery of my life.
my best birthday was my first, the whole "getting shoved head first out of a vagina" kinda sucked but at least I didn't die
my other ones were all a big "meh", exept maybe the last one I had since I got dethklok tickets
Much closer, and she actually means something to me.
Weird...My dad's been doing the same thing. He keeps questioning why I don't want to drive.EcoEclipse said:No, you're not. I turn 16 in November, and I have yet to so much as read the first page of the packet from the DMV. I don't go places often, and when I do, it's either within walking distance, or I'm being dragged along with someone who can drive. Yet my dad keeps telling me I have to start driving as soon as possible. Makes no sense to me.Julianking93 said:I get that you finally are able to drive (I am probably the only teenager who doesn't give a fuck about driving)
Like legal age is gonna stopped me before...Squid94 said:At 16, you can officially engage in what is known as LEGAL INTERCOURSE.
Aside from that, nothing much really.
You bastard, I have a fear of clowns!!!ae86gamer said:You usually get your license when you turn 16. Thats what I did. And that was also my best birthday.

i see what you mean, im almost 20 and still dont care about driving, only just got my permit, and it was soly to have a legal id, although the place where i live, the bike paths are so expansive and high quality, its pretty much better to have a bike, and i think by 16, you are officially.. well... done... your hormones begin to calm down, you start to focus on the world around you instead of solely on your individual needs, people can finally call you matureJulianking93 said:Hey guys, its my birthday today and at 12:31 this morning, I was officially 16!
Now, I've gotten tons of people to be excited for me and its because of this age in particuallar. But I want to know why.
I don't get the big deal with 16. I get that you finally are able to drive (I am probably the only teenager who doesn't give a fuck about driving) and that in most other places besides America, you become "legal age" and are able to do everything you can do at 18 here, but, I live in America and that don't mean shit now.
So, I ask, whats the big deal with this age? What makes it different? I didn't wake up today and feel completely different (I didn't expect to) and I don't look any different than I did a week ago, so whats the deal?
And, for discusion's sake, what was your best/worst birthday?
not in america, you gotta be 18Squid94 said:At 16, you can officially engage in what is known as LEGAL INTERCOURSE.

Heh, I don't much care for driving either, I still don't have my permit, I'll get it when I get it. But yeah, congrats on being 16.Julianking93 said:Hey guys, its my birthday today and at 12:31 this morning, I was officially 16!
