Plus, he appears to have bumped a thread that died a couple of months ago...
Strange, I noticed that as well. I also completely forgot about the conversation me and Neon had on this thread ages ago.
I still stick to my former opinion:

I went gonzo in about 2 months. Mind you, I did spend a lot of time back then in Forum Games & RP. Nowadays I try to spend more time in Off-Topic and try to put more detail into my posts in Off-Topic and also in any RPs I'm in. When I did go gonzo, it was fairly special a time as it was also the same night Neonbob went on the record, so we ended up asking ae86gamer in A Classic Game 2 if she would make us some cake.
Except I take that a little bit further now, as I post rarely here, take my time when making posts and try to contribute more to these forums overall when I do choose to post here. If I had the choice to delete various posts of mine (not necessarily the forum games ones) then I would, because a lot of my posts were pointless and spammy and I was an idiot here. The only thing that stops me from making a new user is the fact that I also have a lot of good and meaningful posts within the mass as well and creating a new user would be at the cost of those, so I stay here for as long as I can under the name of a certain undead water-dwelling creature, hoping that I can make up for the mistakes I've made in the past.

ok I'm alittle slow.... what the hell does gonzo even mean?
When you get over 1000 posts, your title (the thing beneath your username eg yours says Muckracker) changes to Gone Gonzo. A lot of users view this as a special landmark and one that legends reach. And because of this, they try to get to that standard as well.

Oh well no harm done, what you said only seemed like it might be troll'n, Poe's law [http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Poe%27s+Law] and all that.
I remember seeing someone attempt that on these forums twice. He got put on permenant probation for it and then banned.

That mentalitly really olnly works with interesting topics - if you look at the comment he made, you'll realise that it was rather pointless and the topic should probably have stayed dead.
Not just that. Rule of thumb according to the Forum Guidelines [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.116827] is that if the last post is more than a month ago, make a new one and reference to the old one if you want background -- Labyrinth says three months from the last post [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.126913?page=2#2690193] but I haven't seen any other mod say anything that large for necro. Also depends on whether or not the thread is still in context -- having a thread about Christmas cards necroed about now would be useless as it is out of context and no longer relevant.
