Hypothetical Apocalypse

Me and my buddy had an interesting conversation today about how we would survive after a world collapse, here is the scenario.The world has collapsed, China attacked America or Canada attacks America or North attacks south Korea either way it all went under, like capital wasteland under. You wonder the wasteland and find a settlement with only 6 people there who are these 6 people? how will they help each other and you at this settlement?
I have :
2 doctors (female,male) - for obvious reasons
1 engineer (female)- needed to build stuff
1 carpenter (male)- needed to build stuff
1 Expert marksman - for defense/ hunt for food
1 Farmer(female) - obvious reasons
women are for reproduction

Rule: It cannot be any specific person, but a person with a set of skills (i.e. a carpenter)

gender is important, there may be other people around...

1 handyman ( fair knowledge of everyday trades)

Pretty well Covers the basics I suppose, mind you were I live everyone can shoot a gun fix a truck and plow a potato field. So finding said fellows would not be a difficult task.

They seem good suggestions you've got. But doctor and engineer are quite vague. You might get a pathologist and a radiologist, not particularly useful in the scenario. I'd be more specific and have a general surgeon and either a general practitioner or general physican. Likewise with the engineer, there's all sorts of specialities that would be more or less useful.
