Darn, now I gotta get me a N64 so I can play it again!
I don't want to get your hopes up in case you don't enjoy it as much as i did, but i reckon you should get round to playing MM ;).

lol just download a n64 emulator
I've tried out the Project 64 emulator, and it seems alright, the main problem is just the controls in comparison to using a N64 controller can lessen the experience of a game.
you can pick up a cheap plug and play USB controller of amazon for feck all really, not exactly alike but works far better than trying the keyboard atleast.

I'm a heathen, OOT is the only Zelda I've ever played... but it is in my fave games list and I've played it several times even though it's sort of linear and you can't really change much by replaying it so far as I saw.

I'm not putting down Ocarina of Time because it's an excellent game, but there's just something about MM that's always appealed to me a bit more. I think i just liked the slightly darker and creepeier atmosphere, characters and story.
This makes sense. Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time are very similar in their presentation, mechanics and overall quality; they differ in their overall style and philosophy. OOT is the archetypal hero story, with a very focused plot and a clarity of vision; MM is darker, broodier, more complex and experimental, more willing to engage in diversions and distractions. OOT is defined in our memories by perfectly defined, striking images: primarily the Hyrule field as Link first steps out of the forest. MMT is remembered for its concepts: the eternal three-days system and the weird transformation abilities. The villain in OOT is unmistakably evil, whereas the villain in MM is not truly evil but conflicted, tormented, deluded - at heart, he only wants to have fun by causing mischief. Even the hero follows this pattern: in OOT Link is the golden child, the Chosen One, the fresh-faced hero of light; in MM Link is a bit weird, with his bizarre and disturbing transformation rituals and his manipulation of the people in Clock Town.

The obvious analogy to me is music, although a fitting example escapes me at the moment. It's a little like comparing early Beatles albums with later Beatles albums: they're both classics, but the former are bright and mainstream while the latter are murkier and more experimental. But that's a slightly flawed analogy because the later Beatles albums are generally regarded as the best, whereas the N64 Zeldas are on an equal footing - although OOT gets most of the credit.

Or you could just use the Virtual Console

That game made me feel a lot of things, not sure if fun was one of them...no, wait, the swimming and rolling were definitely fun.

Anyway, it still remains one of my favourite games of all time.
Yeah, I might buy a Wii just for that.
And the other classic N64 games I loved, like Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64.
Epic games!
Donkey Kong 64 isn't there, as it was a Rare game made with Nintendo properties. It can never be released anywhere, ever again.
Well that really sucks! That would go for that other masterpeice Perfect Dark wouldn't it?

Anyway I prefer OoT over all the Zelda games, even though I found the others more challenging. I don't even know why I like it the most. I just got OoT Master Quest and hopefully that makes the game more challenging.

They're essentially 2 sides of the same coin, I feel. OoT is more about the world of Hyrule and the story behind that, whereas MM is more personal, about the people of the (parallel) Hyrule and their routines and characters. Playing them both together, one after the other, is the best experience I have ever known in gaming because they complement each other so well.

The spectacle of OoT and sadness of MM dovetail perfectly, meaning to get the full experience of one game (although they are both excellent standalone games, and both could claim to be the best games of all time) anyone who has not played the other should do so.

I have to disagree- I enjoyed it far more than Ocarina of Time.

Music, atmosphere, story, characters... all of it was just better, IMO.

I enjoyed Wind Waker the best but that was due to the all important immersion.
Wow, I really have been praising immersion lately, haven't I?
Sounds like Yahtzee

Um, Ocarina of Time was probably my favourite game, ever. I can't think of anything bad about it, at the time atleast. Obviously graphical issues now, since that's what we're all used to, but even the music was amazing. Majora's Mask was.. I dunno, maybe a bit too late for me? I was already done with OoT having played it so much, Majora's Mask was too.. I dunno, unfamiliar to me? I couldn't get into it. Didn't really like much to it, either. But I dislike change too. :3

Both OoT and MM were great games, but MM had a bigger world to explore, better graphics, NPCs with a lot of personality that stand out, an original story, and quite possibly the best soundtrack of any Zelda game.
